I notice that cutter is dominating the frozen four while drysdale dropped a -6 the other night. Great golf round but not a great game.

Man that trade is going to kill in like 2 years. Ffs. We completely blew that one.

Gauthier plays with a full cage. Do you expect Gauthier to step into the NHL and dominate with that stupid full cage on his face?

The only player of worth that they didn’t sell at the deadline was Laughton and rumor has it some none playoff teams wanted him like Ottawa. It might turn out better to sell him in the offseason instead.

Briere hasn’t been on the job for a full calendar year yet. Let’s see what he does this offseason. If he craps the bed then pray for a meteor.

Seeler could have been moved instead of resigned
Staal same thing even if for future considerations
RP moved not extended
TK could have been shopped

Every draft pick is a lottery ticket - and is also ammo to help move up to select a player that you like - the decision to hold on to and resign players stopped the team from making decisions about younger players already drafted and *developed* by the team

yes gmdb has been on the job for about a year but it is hard to see a difference between he and chuckles - the main moves they made were to get rid of players the coach did not like

The last time the Flyers drafted a star player capable of a point per game production was 2006! If it went the Flyers way they would of drafted Sanguinetti instead...

Before that was Forsberg in 1991....

Flyers need to hire a leprechaun for better luck.

I swear we go through this every damn year....yes there is a difference and it's called the lottery. This must be a record, 10 straight years of no deep draft everyone is the same 2 through 438? The difference between 11 and 15 is the fact the Flyers at least have a chance of moving up where 15 they don't. Plus every year the Flyers somehow end up finishing just outside the range of players in a tiny higher tier due to that extra win or 2 they get for no reason or because someone jumps over them due to the lottery pushing others back.

I still believe since the draft is 100% luck based the team should let the fans make the picks, can they really do any worse than what these dippoops they pay to scout do?

- Glak18

plus doesnt say 12 have more trade value than 15?

lol in bold. made me laugh

He won’t find a team with worse center depth than the Flyers.
- psuhockey

We know, and he knows, that Torts wouldn't want him in the lineup over our franchise players Poehling, Laughts and Cates.

College Hockey is not NHL hockey. He is playing with top talent line mates in College, will he be doing the same with the Ducks. Lets wait until he plays a decent sample size in the NHL until we judge.

But I do agree about Drysdale, not looking too good. But the second round pick is a good asset.

- WhiskeyMan

flyers history of 2nd picks is stellar.

if ivan didnt ask out he would have still been on the roster when the season started. Took some guts to draft MM, will give him that.

otherwise his tenure so far very underwhelming. Losing Cutter is unacceptable.

Call me crazy but with the general ebb and flow of pro sports, and a favorable schedule to boot, I see the Flyers squeaking in here.

Not only that, they go on a heater.

- StepfordSam

i can see them sneaking in as no team seems to want it.

They don't have a favorable schedule. All the other teams have a game in hand.

Didn't Carolina trade him b/c there were indications that he wanted to go UFA?

He probably has a destination in mind.

If Seeler had no worth why did they give him a four year extension?

Last night he only played 11 minutes.

Well he’s still working his way back from an injury. Gotta ease him back in like they did with Coutur… oh

I must admit he looks like the real deal to me. I don’t know if I see dominant in his game. But I do see a guy that has a chance to be a really good player. I had to wear that dumb ass cage….funny thing is I liked it better then the shield.

They had to make sure Johnson got close to his 19 minutes….all about the future.

They 100% were not going to draft Sanguinetti. They had him as a second-round range pick. If Giroux had been off the board, Patrik Berglund was next on their internal list.

Could be. Or back to BC/Seattle area.

Or to the Rangers or Boston like everybody else.
