Hot take but if Florida is dressing the goon squad for their last game Tuesday then I don't play Matthews.
Cup is more important than 70.
Play him in a nothing game against TB where they don't have the incentive to hit AM every chance they get.
I'd honestly sit him both games. |

I'm more worried about the offense showing up to be honest.
Last season, in 5 games, we couldn't score more than two goals in any game against them. Hard to blame the goaltending in any playoff round loss in this recent era of the Leafs.

Queefe should staple one of Domi or Bert to Matthews at even strength.
You roll with Marner on one wing and an agent of chaos on the other wing. This works especially well if said agent of chaos can also pot the odd goal on occasion.
Put the rest of the lines in the blender all you want, but I think a Matthews line should have a Palat (ideally) and Bert can fill that need.
