Chicago is so bad. Shots are 30-14 but they’re tied somehow.

Stupid penalty by Jones on Aho and Carolina converts - Jarvis again - to take a 3-2 lead with under three to go

Are you talking to yourself?

For the record, I agree shouldn't "whine" about facing anyone. If you want to win the cup, have to beat the best of the rest anyway.

He has had 5 different RW's and Panarin has played there also, he still sucks 5v5 this year.
- Brukie

Mika had arguably his best game of the season on Saturday and Roslovic probably had his best game as a Ranger. I get the criticism production wise but if you’re comparing to last year, the panarin line has gotten all the 5v5 offensive zone starts (rightfully so) and the Mika line has been deployed in a much more defensive role than in previous seasons and they have been very good at that.

I agree we need 4 lines producing in the playoffs but there is more to the game than points and Mika has not been as bad as advertised on this board.

The team is 1st place in the league so clearly something is working. Again, some criticism is warranted but I’d rather the team win than Mika score 100 points. I think the team and Lavy have earned the benefit of the doubt.

This isn’t directed at you in particular I just chose your post to respond to

True there is more to the game than just stats but in the end games are won by goals, if our so called 1st line cant produce 5v5 goals, which in the playoffs we know there are less penalties are called, then Panarins line will be forced to produce, I dont think that line should feel the pressure of having to score in order to win.

No matter how much we say, Playoffs start in a few days, let the fun begin!!!

He is a 1st line center making 9m per and not producing 5v5 and your point is?

I agree the playoffs will be fun with this team (at least I hope so!)

I think it’s fair to say that given their usage 5v5 the panarin line is the 1st line and they are producing as such. Mika makes the salary of a 1st line center but Lavy has clearly made the decision that he’d rather lean on Panarins line 5v5. You can’t argue with the results. Like you said, games are won by goals and we have won more games than ever in franchise history.

It’s a fair point that powerplays are less frequent in the playoffs and we need to produce 5v5, but Carolina just barely beat chicago on the back of two PP goals. Sometimes I think we are a little too hard on our guys

Still unbelievable. One of the greatest trades in Rangers history. Think that was the trade that was made only after the Rangers paid Brass's bonus because the Sens were too cheap.

I think you’re correct, but yes it’s up there with the Ryan Mac trade for Gomez
