I was also thinking about Necas earlier, he would be a great add and he’s young enough for the rebuild. I thought that Reichel had some jump tonight, maybe seeing a guy like Nazar pushing the pace contributed to that jump, sometimes those things are contagious, especially for young players.

[quote=wiz1901]If Necas gets into an arbitration battle with the' canes management, the Blackhawks should be all in.

Necas will want 7 mil plus.

I am looking forward projecting via Jhawk59 of Zanye Parekh as the hawks 4th overall

Imagine him on the rush with Bedard and Nazar

End of Wiz comments now mine follow

The prospect whose name is spelled P A R E then add kh

Like: very much RHD

Like: very much uniquely talented not many come along as capable skilled lethal offensively

Like too that he reportedly could improve defensively so scouts are saying he could be a better version of E Karlsson.

Sounds like sometimes he may play more TOi depending on in game strategy. So good and valuable you overlook that he is not a solid match defensively against top offensive forwards…..that is the words paraphrased from scouting reports

Let me project some considerations down the road

We have toughness and capable all around dmen on the way in DelMastro and even Allen qualities similar. We probably have a good one in Rinzel but he needs at least two seasons before pro - more like at least one collegiate and one in Rockford minimal

After two seasons KD may want to unload salary and S Jones is first guy you think to unload after he has been paid two more seasons here. Bedard salary may be the only really big one in two years but there is going to be a (hopefully) treasure trove of prospects to be paid large salaries as they progress in the NHL

If not Parekh don’t fret a real lot. Kaiser is going to emerge but he may come with the same type style and game as Parekh just on a smaller scale compared to Parekh projection. Which is still attractive enough that Kaiser winds up sticking as a third pair dman with pp duty

Now.,,
It is much less a headache to just draft third or fourth overall and then you could not only have a more clear vision who to draft but also would retain the fortune ti move up in the draft all the way to first overall in ‘25 or ‘’26

Make no mistake I like the resume the scouting report of the other top dmen. But we have some toughness and size aforementioned on defense so why not Parekh.

Sure other teams have their lists and perhaps other dmen are rated higher than Parekh

I guess I only know one thing for sure about who we draft: if it is D I c k e r s o n some people on the board will have a fit seperating him from their other “Richardinson.”

Nice to see Nazar score his first goal already. Didn't look out of place. Nice to see Nazar get into the corner and get to the puck before anyone else can, what speed does.

Its also nice to see Del Mastro out there he still needs some seasoning but doesn't look bad at all.

All this young talent beginning to trickle in to the NHL and AHL.

Great game! My first since they raised the cup! My now older 3 kids since they were youngins or babies and daughters friend first game! Great experience! New fans for sure!

We were in it for 2.75 periods, we shouldnt have been, so many giveaways and bad passes! Marazyk awesome desevred the win! Pulled the goalie too early!

Bedard looked like pressing and pushing all game. Wanted to make a difference I get it! Like a regular rookie.

EDIT; great for Nazar first game, first shot, first goal was historical... check the list.. he was elrrady to play all game.

kureashev for me still no, missed open net bedard pass. rechiel not working hard still but trys alot...

Miss you guys!

Need to give Frankie his due ... man oh man - if someone is going to score on their first shot taken in the NHL (or anywhere) ... daaaaay-aaaaam- but that is the type of shot you want to score on.

What an awesome shot ... love it.

When the Hawks are contending I don’t expect Kurashev to be on the top line. Once the roster has more talent I’d expect to see #23 on the 3rd line. But for now, he’s the best option for Bedard.

On a contending team I see Kurashev on a 3rd line but don’t think he’d look out of place on the 2nd.

You can always have one of those guys that is predominately on the third line but is capable of filling in on the top two lines if needed.

I’ve touched on this before, when a guy like Kurashev is slotted on the third line, that’s when the Hawks will contend for a playoff spot. I like Kurashev, but due to lack of talent on the team, he’s playing on the first line.

It is going to be interesting to see how Kyle from Chicago maneuvers to move this team to the next stage. The NHL draft, maybe some trades, maybe some free agent signings.

Celebrini is the big prize in this year's draft, but I am intrigued with the defensemen Levshunov and Parekh. Either one of them would add to the young defenseman corps, possibly making the likes of Kaiser, DelMastro, KK, Allan, maybe eventually even Jones expendable.

On the other hand, the Hawks could use a top forward. After Celebrini the others have some warts. Demidov - always the risk of him not coming to the NHL, Catton and Eiserman projected to be a little bit further down the board, Lindstrom - is he the real thing? His stock rose the 1st half the season then he got hurt.

KD should pick the best player available, but who will that be in his eyes?

Edit - Wiz now has Eiserman the Hawks' choice at #2.

Am I the only one who thinks Reichel has been much improved over the last 5-7 games? He's back to attacking the middle of the ice (and getting rewarded for it), more aggressive along the boards, and winning more battles. Not perfect by any stretch, but he's been one of the more noticeable (in a good way) forwards recently.

It is befuddling to me that Reichel only seems to have chemistry with AA on his line (like for the past 5-7 games you point out with. Reichedl seems to be the only player on the Hawks that AA has chemistry with, and vice versa.

In 5 years when re-selections of old drafts are done a guy like Parekh could very well be the best player. He has all the attributes that could very possibly be the next Karlsson or Makar or he could prove to be a bust like Korbustsky or a real bust. Will he be able to take his game to the next level and add an element of defensive play? Parekh is a guy I’d love the Hawks to select but at the same time I’d be scared for them to select him.

It seems that there is a more notable drop-off in forward talent after the top 4-5, vs a wider array of very good defenders. As with most others here I'm for BPA. This seems closer to the 2020 draft where there weren't any really clear-cut great players available. I think they will go D early.

Absolutely capable to be a second line player for sure. No problem having him as a coplanarity top 6 piece.

He's certainly enticing but, I'm getting Kirby Dach vibes when I look at his stats.

Frankie Nazar will finish this season with more goals then Kirby BTW.

I was curious to see where the 3rd round Ottawa pick falls for the Hawks. Wiz has the Hawks picking the 1st goalie, Ryerson Leenders, at #71. 6' 1" / 160 lbs(?)
