That's nuts. I ran 15km on Saturday and my legs were still dying today when I did a shorter run after work. Saturday's run was the longest run I've done since before I had acl reconstruction over 10 years ago. I'm working towards a half marathon in the early fall, and if that goes ok, I'd like to run a marathon in the year after I retire, which is in 3 years or so.

Looking at his times, his biggest problem right now is he's running far too many marathons. One a month ensures you won't have an optimal time. And he's combining it with training for triathlons.

10 minutes is a ridiculous amount of time, once you've established yourself as a runner (meaning it's easy if you run your first marathon on a lark, then start training).

But we aren't dealing with Larry from Accounting, who's decided he wants to run a marathon. This is a world-class athlete, who has all the time and money to train.

On the one-hand, he's done 7 marathons. But that's really only been in the last year.

Oh poop, I'm rambling.

So here's my answer:

If Chara decides to only run 2 marathons a year, and cuts out the triathlon training, I wouldn't bet against him.

If he continues to run one a month, no way in hell.

Under three hours is really tough.

For a guy with his physique, it's really, really tough.

As a guy 45-49, it's really, really, really tough.

He ran 3:10 in the Houston Marathon, which is known as a fast course.

524 guys in his age group finished the marathon.

21 were under 3 hours.

They want to announce the sale before the playoffs start. Schedules don’t usually come out until mid June.

- I think Leafs offence can struggle at times playoff time, though I like Bert/Domi and emergence of McMann & Holmberg, so I’d say avoid Florida? They are better defensively…though the analytics may say otherwise (not sure?) but in playoffs taking time space away they are better than Boston in my opinion
