I don't think teams win with players like Bunting. Don't confuse Bunting with Marchand, Gallagher, Tkachuk, etc. Bunting isn't a grinder, he's not a pest, or a glue-guy. Bunting is a weasel with no heart, no self respect, and his antics cause half of the room to actually be embarrassed for their own team because of him.

He is a MUCH better player, but PK Subban had a similar affect on teammates. When guys are out there just blowing smoke and making a mockery of the game...the team gets divided and certain players actually begin to question "is this the right team for me? I mean, if they have hired this f4n guy...I don't know if I'm in the right spot".

I'm sure there are many other issues with the Pens, but teams with idiots like Bunting just don't win. This guy is a cancer to any team.

Hahaha wtf is this?...he was part of the Leafs best ever regular season team (54 wins) in their 100+ years of history, two seasons ago . They lost those playoffs mostly due to goaltening... Samsonov sh!t bed and Bob was in God mode the first three rounds.

This post sounds personal. He bang a female in your life while in TO?

The end to a disappointing year has arrived. Three questions.

Who will be the GM next season?

Who will be behind the bench with Sullivan?

Will Sid sign an extension?

Kind of sad they didnt get to the post season for BJC one last time in his last season. Would have been nice to get him in there, even if it was a first round exit.

Its so crazy to me that you have Sid with 42 goals (3rd most in career)/94 points, Geno sniffing at 30 goals, Letang with over 50 points and Ek flirting with 60 points....all with a 31st ranked PP. Like, thats bat sh!t crazy to me haha

Why are you not so sure? on top of very trusted insiders like Elliotte Friedman saying this is going to happen July 1st you also have the factor of Letang and Geno extending to stay with him.

My hope is

Eric Tulsky

Not sure, but I am hoping they improve our PP next season and 3 vs 3.

I think Sid signs it this season yes.

Hopefully Sullivan is let go of his head coaching duties with the penguins.

Well, I guess misery loves company and we both missed. Sucks for both teams in different ways. You guys were expected to make the playoffs at the beginning of the year, so that hurts, and the Flyguys held a playoff spot for over 100 days and coughed it up. That really hurts. Congrats to Jeff Carter on his retirement! I caught the end of the game and thought it was cool that the Isles lined up to shake his hand at the end of the game. I guess many of you are glad to see him go, but he had a pretty damn good career.

He was definitely a great player during his career. I am hoping he ends up becoming a coach.

Let's just say I have my doubts.

If Crosby wants to chase another Cup, he isn't doing it here. This isn't a playoff caliber team let alone a contender.

Oh, Dubas is going to try to improve this group. He has his work cut out for him. Just too many holes to fill. Free Agency is a crap shoot. We've been burned here more than anywhere else.

His only real option to make us better is thru trades. Smith and Jarry aren't bringing much back.

From Yohe's article. Was going to post this when Madden was talking about it weeks ago.

• So, Alex Nedeljkovic received a 13th straight start in the regular season finale. Thirteen! Tristan Jarry is perfectly healthy and hasn’t gotten a start since March 22. That was the game in Dallas, the one where Jarry shot daggers at defensemen after a couple of goals allowed. If you don’t believe me, watch the tape.

You’d think, maybe, the Penguins would have given their “No. 1 goalie” at least one more start before the season concluded, especially given that they’ve gotten quite a look at Nedeljkovic during the past month.

But nah.

There’s no way Jarry isn’t in the doghouse.

Kingerski (yeah, I know) has been going on about this ever since the day after the Dallas game. Even back then he pointed out how Jarry reacted and said something happened in the locker room after the game. Then every game since he's brought up the Dallas game and said the coaches are still pissed at Jarry and that the players try harder for Ned because they all like him and how he competes.

Obviously given the source take it with a huge grain of salt, but 13 straight starts for Ned definitely gives it some credibility.

I remember Tulsky was considered for the position last year. Why didn't he get the job and what type of relationship does he have with Dubas?

We've hit bottom in both the PP and 3v3.

Sullivan is the head coach next year. RW is on the right track though, his replacement will either be one of his assistant's or the head coach in WBS.

I think everyone knows Sullivan should be gone. You don't get to rest on what you did in your first two years as a coach half a decade ago. This season was a top to bottom coaching failure.

Sullivan has a new 3 year contract starting this year, economics seems to be the only reason they are set on sticking with him. But at some point they have to realize that better coaching would have got us in the playoffs two years in a row now. Each home playoff game is worth at least $2M to the team... thats already an absolute minimum $8M vs his contract which is I believe $15M.

It's time. There has to be someone in the room bright enough to realize that we are just kicking the can down the road at the end of the careers of 4 Hall of Famers who are still playing at an extremely high level.

The funny part is the Rangers were holding out hiring a coach last off season hoping the Pens would fire Sullivan and they would scoop him up. Lavy was kind of a last minute move. Crazy how things turn out.

Definitely think the coaches are pissed. That's what I said last night. It's a meaningless game and you don't give your 5 mil "starter" the nod after riding the backup like a rented mule? Something going on there.

Neds numbers have not been very good either, so the coaching staff should be looking at the whole picture. If Jarry is outwardly blaming his teammates, he's never going to regain their trust. You don't show up your teammates even if they suck.....which some of them do.

I still think Sully is a good coach. He reached his sell-by date at least 2 years ago with the Penguins. It happens to all of them. He was the perfect coach at the time back in 2016. He pushed all the right buttons. Now....not so much.

You don’t realize that it’s a bigger F U to Jarry to start him last night. It’s Ned’s net, he just helped carry them through a heater to end the season. His numbers throughout the stretch mean (frank) all to anything. No hockey game is meaningless.

Dubas did say it’s Toronto or no where like 2 weeks before he signed with the Pens. I fully understand that you’re not going to openly say you’re looking into the coaching situation during the season. There’s a chance Sully is gone.
