I think trading Kuraschev is the farthest thing form Kyle's mind.

And no post playoff decisions are going to be fully discussed until they know exactly where they will be drafting. If the won the first lottery spot, I think they look at the win as one that just added a new centre for next year.

But let's look at it this way:

The hawks don'y win the lottery and draft 3rd or 4th.
(therefore, no new season ticket bump or jersey sales b/c of a lottery win...granted, I know the Bedard win/ sales bump is a much different level.)

I simply cannot see Kyle breaking up the Bedard - Kurachev familiarity after losing the lotto, no matter what the hype is on the return.

We have seen how Bedard can elevate the production of his winger.

So, in a sense, Bedard HAS made "Phil" a better trade piece.

I just don't see them considering a subtraction of Kurachev, until a lot more turnover adds options for Bedard's production and success as a generator.

I got a 1 in tankathon today...

- wiz1901

At $2-1/4 million with 1 year left on his deal there is no point trading Kurachev unless he is part of a one sided deal in Chicago's favour, so he will be here next season.

I think of greater interest is who KD chooses to qualify as RFA's or cut loose - he has a whole bunch of them. He has to get to the cap floor and he has to stock Rockford with players. Is he going to keep Phillips, Entwistle, Raddysh, Roos and a few others.

He won't be there at 9. I'd take Odunze if he's there though. WR, DL or OL....one of those.

Big question is, will 4 qb's go early?

I think Roos will be cut loose.

Kurashev isn't top 6 on a good team. Bolland would have taken his lunch and then shoved it back down his throat.
- rpeters01

Kurashev is top six on this Blackhawk team. He’s got some chemistry with Bedard which could see his numbers improve even more. Perhaps he can grow into a true top six player, a bottom six player or that mysterious middle six player or maybe he is traded? Right now there’s no hurry to move him and with the potential to see his production increase, he becomes more valuable as a trade chip.

I have spent the last two weeks working every possible trade with any possible team in the middle third last third of the order - I mean any possible trade into NFL picks 1-8 and then, every possible trade out of slot 9 for the bears IF
Alt or a Rome Oduze are gone.

I would have loved to have been in the Bears meeting last week as one of the guys asked to drive the imaginary scenarios.

All the pre hub Bub guesses start falling apart at slot three,
where depending upon of Maye is there or Daniel is there.
If Maye goes second, expect the flood gates of phone calls to move up.

If Maye is there, teams may see the price too high and wait to see if Arizona is a better place to start discussing a trade up foe a QB strapped team.

Chargers could trade out too...Giants Titans and Falcons all can be fluid if they think teams like the Vikings are slinging two picks 11 & 23 their way.

I read recently where. GM FROM ONE OF THE BOTTOM THIRD teams saying there will be no first round grade on pick 23....

Lately, two OL are showing up in the top 8.
And I just have a gut feeling Ozume will be gone either by a trade or a smart decision from 5-8 slotted team.

I simply refuse to trade out with ALT or OZUME are there, but there isnoi way they fill WR, DE and 3-tech with one selection.

They could trade inside their division with Vikings so they secure the 4th QB and drop to #11, get DT Bryon Murphy and use slot 23 for Darius Robinson who looks capable playing outside and inside in sub packages.

But that is a rich payout on Vikings end to jump two slots -

I am mor Ethan curious if the Bears would their two 2025 second rounders.

(this was my mental activity this week...on to watch the last Leafs game of the season to ese if I can spot a moment where Willy Nylander gets damaged...

I don't think we can go wrong with anyone at 9 but I think Tennessee has to trade back for Alt to be there. Perhaps the Chargers as well? Two things have to happen for us to drop back from 9; a player we want has to be gone and somebody has to want to do business with us. Easier said than done our price will be high.

Maybe Hairball trades Herbert to the Vikes for Jefferson, and then drafts McCarthy (aka, the "other" JJ).

That would be interesting but would potentially suck to now also have Herbert in the division.

Well yeah, even if they trade down swapping firsts and acquire an additional 1st or 2nd, they wouldn't be able to address anything else until the 3rd depending on what Poles does.

I doubt Alt is there at 9 and if Odunze isn't I think they look at trading down a couple spots if that's available.

The bears should really consider trading #1 for a haul. They already have the best o lineman at RT, so drafiting Penix Jr. would be the smart thing to do.
