Yeah, other the the dip in the 2nd period and the Power play, you'll take that win in playoff game every time. Good to see Rempe get rewarded. Vesey too. Didn't expect that type of game from Goodrow. See you Tuesday.

So happy he did this. No self-respecting coach could watch the month of March, then what came after and say to themselves, “its ok”.

Yeah Jack Roslovic still stinks. Are you happy now?

It is really is how playoff hockey goes. Ebbs and flows. We made that quick hit to score 3 and Im sure Lavy settled the boys down, made sure they they kept their heads on a swivel and didnt take any unnecessary risks.

Theres nothing you can do until they feel comfortable to play Chytil. As long as were winning games right now, especially in this particular series, I doubt we see him.

I commented on this before, the other 3 lines are playing so well, he has his hands tied. They could maybe put Kakko there if he really wants to go that route.

We’ve killed him all year (me you and pickle), but we have to be fair, Goodrow has been a better player the last month or so.

Chytil is more like a back pocket kind of thing I think. Only until they actually need him will we see him. I’d say game one rd 2 is probably his most likely appearance

He's here for playoff runs. Wouldn't expect anything else. He's the guy you depend on when the game/series is on the line

I mean he played well yesterday. I'll admit it. I don't feel like arguing with you over a month worth of results. (I've already looked.)

Goodrow getting some credit for being a major contributor to how good this penalty killing has been even before yesterday would be cool

Let's keep in mind that the metric used here was BETTER. Not elite. Not good. Not generational. Just better than previously. It shouldn't be all that hard to admit.

Great start to the series. I thought they were a little nervy and tentative in the first although had the puck most of it. Relaxed in the 2nd and the grinders came through with the 1st and 3rd goals.

I will admit, the Rempe thing had me nervous. The last thing I want is a sideshow and the kid deserves a lot of credit bc he never took the bait. The early penalty as soft as it was and bc of the reputation he has, he isn't going to get the benefit of the doubt, I questioned his place in the lineup.

I was never happier to be wrong in my life. That line was great and he has earned his spot for now. Until the coach has a reason to take him out, he should stay in the lineup. I always believed his role would be dictated by opponent. Clearly the Caps are the kind of team Rempe will dress for, it'll be interesting if the Rangers move on and play Carolina. Not as physical as WSH, will the coach opt for more skill and speed? Chytil?

I trust this coach I don't know that I have ever had this much faith in a NYR head coach. Something is off here

Lavy is definitely more comforting behind the bench then Gallant, or AV for that matter

Yea agree, i think Washington’s style has a lot to do with Rempe playing or not. But hey he’s earning staying in the lineup til further notice playing like that yesterday. It’s funny when the haters say he doesn’t belong and then he goes and gets the first goal on a very nice play. Presence of mind to go to the front of the net, accept the pass, and a no doubt shot in the net makes them look like idiots haha

I was one of those (I won't say I hate him bc I don't) doubters. And I do think in a tighter game he won't see the ice as much but that happens anyway. So its really not that big of deal. Chytil is going to be interesting. If healthy I'm guessing he plays, based on these very early returns, if Chytil comes in it would be for Roslovic. Although I think they're going to try and get through this series and continue to see how he responds to the hard practices.

the first sign of having trouble scoring (as a team) is the first chance we see Fil I think. Whenever that may be.

I meant opposing team fans (devils and isles mostly) tearing him apart. I think rangers fans understand why he’s playing but just want him to be productive instead being of a problem. That first penalty was a joke tho, and I give Lavy credit for sticking with him probably understanding that it was a weak call

It's a unique problem. No runway, just throwing him into a playoff series is risky and could be disruptive but it could also upgrade the roster which we would all welcome.
