What movie was it attached to?
One of those John Hughes?

- dbot

Yeah, it's the Breakfast Club by John Hughes, one of the few movies in the 80's to tackle the angst of being a high school student and how labels are just that, not representative of reality or who someone is.

Let’s confirm this: Lindy Ruff will be the next head coach of the Buffalo Sabres, returning to the team he led from 1997-2103.

Yeah Dude. I still shed a tear thinking about that scene when Claire gave him her diamond earring. It was just such a beautiful and symbolic moment in cinematic history.

He's right in line behind Hronek IMO. He wants to stay with the Canucks, he's been a great addition: big body, hits, scores, PKs, has chemistry. Of course you don't overpay, but you make it work. The Canucks scouted him out – he was on the St Lou farm team that was shared with the Canucks for a bit, and they eyed him from there.

Also interesting you say every season there's a Dak, which recent seasons have the Canucks had someone of his ilk?

- NewYorkNuck

When you say he's a priority to sign, then you are prioritizing your available cap on that player. There's still loads of work to do on defence, finding another quality centre, as well as finding wingers for the first and second lines (Suter and Lafferty should not be on the top two lines).

If you are going to commit $11m+ on Pouty, then you are going to have to upgrade his line mates. That's not going to be cheap.

As I said, it would be nice to resign him but he's going to get overpaid by someone. It shouldn't be the canucks. Get him to sign for 3rd line dollars and all is good. $5M players on the 3rd and 4th lines is not a great strategy IMO.

I just remember the scene of them all getting high and Judd Nelson giving Anthony Michael Hall's character a hi-5 and he falls over.

I don't mind an LA series. Avs Oilers and Rangers are the teams I don't want to meet.

A lot of people think they will win everything. My left nut is telling me Canucks will/would win.

I liked the weed smoking scenes, and Ally Sheedy stealing Judd's knife.

I was just listening to a broadcast and Friedman was saying Hronek is number one priority followed by Joshua and next Blueger. He said Lindholm is now off the radar.

Me I would take Mikheyev out of the picture and replace him with Dakota. I wish they could bring back Lindholm. Lind Garland and Joshua would make an excellent second line.

I was reading on Sportsnet that Vegas' Game 1 cap hit will be $84.247 million, roughly $750,000 over the salary cap.

That ain’t bad.

To clarify, he meant every season except the last 10 there is a new Joshua
