So guesses as to what Lindy, Zad, Daka, and Hroney add up to?
Just quick guesses here so don't tear my hole...
Lindy 6.1
Zad 4.6
Daka 2.7
Hroney 6.6
So around 20 mil for a 2 top 4 D (yes Zad is a top 4) a 2/3 Line C and a middle 6 winger? 22ish % of cap for 4 positions isn't terrible

Vancouver. They will keep him with Garland.

I don't think McCrybaby handles being shadowed by Miller too well.

I don't get people calling him that, or McDiver or McGreedy. None of those things he does to any degree.

I guess when a player has no flaws, people make up things.

I call him that mainly because he's a cry baby but also in part because he is a cry baby.

Sure. That's why we owned the Oilers this season.

I call him McDouche, but that's only because he can't take someone being on his ass.

This is why I wanted more done at the tdl. Make the best out of this season. Next season is a big ? on how they are going to manage the cap situation. Big trade? Group of trades? Let players walk and promote from within? A combination of some or all those things. Going to be interesting but the team might be significantly different.

First 3 games McD was playing injured. Last game he didn't play.

Yeah, seeing his meltdowns this season and dragging his team down with him for the first 6 to 8 weeks really solidified that nickname. Not just that but him coming completely unraveled when Miller was assigned to him x 3 games didnt make it any better. I don't care if he threw the team on his back later. He wasn't simply just playing bad during their struggles... he was the main culprit for what was a disaster start to the season.

Joshua is a feel good story but no way you make his signing a priority. Every season has a Dakota Joshua. Heart and soul guy who exceeds expectations. Paying out on guys like that is what gets you into cap problems. If he doesn’t accept a reasonable offer, move on.

This is my fear. I don't want this season to be a fluke like 2020 was. If a cup is out of reach this year then load up for a 2025 run. Cap needs to be spent on the first two lines (especially centre), defence, and goaltending. A GM must be savvy when constructing the third and fourth lines. Got to be lucky and hope you hit gold on a few cheap/entry level salaries. IMO, spending big bucks on 3rd and 4th liners is a clear sign of poor player assessment (see Ryan Reaves).

I hope that Joshua understands that playing in Van is best for both sides, player and management. Agents will always go for the biggest payday, but sometimes that can have a devastating effect on a player's hockey career.

Probably the most disgraceful player in a long time. I remember how hard folks were on Crosby when he broke into the league and he was never a B!tch like macdavid

Oh boy, I was worried someone would ask me that.

This is my dilemma, a very team-friendly contract would be $4M+ based on this season's impact. I don't think the canucks can afford the guy unless they want to move him up onto the 2nd line.

Is he 2nd line quality? This is a contract year, is that having an effect? He's a fifth round pick (leafs ) who has never been "that" player. Got to ask yourself do you roll the dice on a $5M per contract? Probably going to look for at least a 3 year NMC. It's risky.
