After it taking me months to add the Philly second round #51 slot pick as an compensatory pick for not signing 2018 1st round draft pick Jay O'Brien (19th overall) this new wrinkle of a team name change and insignia seems to be an insrmountable task, and have been told, "Hi everybody, I think we have to weigh the impact of the efforts applied but I don't think we will be able to fix that on time anyway so maybe to keep it as is.."

This site is my only outlet after the bought DraftSite.com...maybe it is time for me to just foregt about my efforst with them.

The O'Brien kid had some serious skill. A bust.

We'll know more after this yrs draft but going by KD's only 2 drafts what do you think the Hawk's game/identity will be in 5 yrs? Or even what kinda squads does KD hope to build?
- Mr Ricochet

It’s hard to get a clear picture of the type of team he’s building. He may not even have a real idea himself at this point. His drafting may make the decision for him as to the identity the team takes on? Some things are very clear, good skaters, some skill, size on the blueline and some roll up your sleeves and get your nose dirty types. Pretty balanced drafting actually.

If Florida keeps playing like this series will be over soon. They suck.

And this is why we let them play the whole game. 😂😂

Sure, and there are potentially seven games. We’re young enough to have seen comebacks from down 3-1. I get what you are saying, but patience is a virtue. 😁

Seems like Maurice switching the top 2 lines back to what they've been most of the year really helped, and i went from watching a hockey game to a bunch of sore losers brawling

So any chance Kd trades #2 if he was to say get a offer he couldn't refuse?

If he gets an offer he can’t refuse he’d move the pick, no?

I guess so if he can't refuse it.

It would have to be someone like Sieder or Brady Tkachuk unhappy with the organization they're playing with and asking for a trade. I can't see KD trading #2 for later 1st rounders and prospects. Too early in the rebuild for players in their prime with long contracts.

Been watching some Demidov highlights for the first time and it's like watching a video game. If it weren't the Russia instability factor, the kid is a lock at #2.

I think he might do it for Ottawa's #7 and #15, or even for Montreal's #5 and #26.

Utah doesn't have an extra #1 but their #6 and a higher-end prospect I could see it.

I wouldn't think he would drop below #7 though. And he might be looking for prospects from Ottawa or Montreal instead of additional late 1sts.

If KD feels he can get his guy at #5 then swap #2 for #5 and #27.

Let's say for fun what if the Ducks get aggressive and really want 2 and 3. Would MacTavish be a conversation starter?

I am so glad I watched the Pathers-Boston in it't entirety...

Bad blood spilled over, and for Pasta to purpuseful mark Tkachuk from the benches as their shifts were to start with 7 minutes left was a sight!

Both coaches praised the twosome and Pasta said, "I can take a punch."

Seems like #2 for McTavish might work. #3 overall, big guy, good scorer, 2 yrs in the league, only 21. Wonder if Anaheim would do that, I see he wears the "A" for them already.

Buffalo’s first rounder (11) is supposedly on the block. I’d trade for that, any of Murphy, Richardinson, or some other vet. Imagine a haul of 2, 11, and 20.

I'm with you on this. Build it from the defense out.

We've just spent an entire season b!tching about Jones, Murphy in his 7 seasons with the Hawks has played only 2 over 76 games. And it can be argued that both are slotted a pair too high.

The Hawks history with drafting Russians (outside of Panarin who was a FA) isn't exactly good either.

- Rota's Rooter

Wait, i thought we are loaded with defensemen prospects? I say draft offense and trade for defense. Our number one need is scoring.

I don´t think Buffalo is interested in Hawks vets. And they have really good prospect pool themselves so I can´t see any trade happening between these two teams that includes that 11th pick.

The offensive output when Bedard was hurt (plus all the other injuries) was pretty awful for sure. We had to win games 1-0 to have a chance to win at all.
- breadbag

Ergo we draft offense.

Yep, and if that’s a Dman, so be it, get some offense from FA, through trades, or future picks.
