What makes Canucks fans any different than any other team to be tagged as the worst?
Serious question & the riot wasn’t fans it was punks hiding in a gang mentality. Cowards & losers. It’s like G20 riots blamed on Torontonians. |

He will come with an extension - Fakepartofme
How do you know that? Marner's agent historically gets his guys to UFA to maximize the amount of money. Do you think the Leafs will do a sign and trade?

I think they just stink. They emit a foul and unpleasant odor. I loathe them.

Yeah, I feel like teams maybe have a bit more sense to hand out 10m for a goalie now after seeing how its worked out for Price and Bob. But I still think he'd get more than 7.5m on the open market. Maybe ~9m from the right team? I don't necessarily think it's the smart at all though.
A team like Nashville tends to play a style of play that makes things a bit easier on their goalies so why pay a premium for the goalie if you can just call up the next guy and get (hopefully) similar results? - lemieux_66
Preds have had good & deep D seems like forever & play team D always. |

Yup, weird how a team can keep producing stud D men like they have for what seems like forever. Weber, Suter, Josi, Ekholm, etc. They have forwards that help out too so that's why I'd move on from Saros now too and let someone else pay him huge $$. They've got that russian goalie coming up too so as long they keep playing that style they'll make another goalie rich.

Always comes back to Markstrom.
Broissoit sure but unproven starter.
Leafs are in win now time & stop the goalie merry go round. |

Probably nowhere. - shack67
Very possible.
If he likes it here, why would he agree to move. He'll put up another 100pt season and then go where he wants.
Leafs may get nothing at all for him. |

Maybe but then he can only sign a 7 yr deal. If he agreed to move this summer he could sign an 8 yr extension with his new team. There's a bit of leverage for the Leafs.

Am was good one game...thats it. He has 2 -3 goals in his past 10 - 11 games.
Marner didn't make him worse, dont be foolish. - Fakepartofme
AM was very good in the 2 games he played without Marner and was healthy. He had 3 points in those 2 games. We do not know if he would be better off in the playoffs without Marner because he has not had a big enough sample size.

Florida / Boston game getting spicy.
WTF was Pasta / Boston thinking having Pasta fight Ratchuck?
Jesus.
Watching Boston getting stomped on the scoreboard and in the goon antics Olympics is pretty enjoyable TBH. |

You know the Leafs media and knowledgeable active fanbase. Lots of speculation last fall when Willie could sign but hadn’t yet! Imagine this fall and Marner hasn’t signed! The year goes on and nothing done. Fans are going to know that he isn’t doing a sign and trade and I believe they will turn on him even more so, than now. It would be quite a spectacle! For this reason I think it’s in Everybodies best interest to figure out how to move on! Nothing against Marner it’s just that someone has to go, this recipe is painfully and obviously a failure. |

Maybe if the Leafs forwards had some of that compete level you wouldn't have to protect the goalies all the time

The fact that they go out of their way to hate another fanbase more than they like their own?
If you were handing out free jerseys at a Nucks game, one being a Leafs jersey with a red X over the logo and the other one being a Vancouver jersey made of malleable, breathable gold, the anti-Leafs jerseys would be gone first.
It's akin to making your screen name anti-Leafs instead of pro-Vancouver. That kind of negativity runs deep. Gotta be hard. |

the opposite of love is NOT hate Stevesy ...it's indifference.
Clearly them Nuckleheads can't get enough of us so they love us.
Also Vancouver is 67% former Ontario Leaf fans. |

Definitely former Leafs fans. Likely grew up in the GTA, fled to BC as 20-somethings (which is fair and fine), and then became holier than thou (which is not). Saw this personally with at least 10 people.
Anyhow, I do hope a Canadian team wins, and I will be rooting for the portion of the fanbase that isn't douche water.

(frank) off with this tantrum bullpoop. You think hes the only player to throw his gloves in frustration?
MacKinnon has done that.
Jesus - Fakepartofme
I even agree with this and I'm still pissed at Marner...and if everyone is being honest it's not even close to his fault. Great player/greater scapegoat for some reason.
I just made myself feel stupid for hating on him.
Marner is fuking fine. Throwing the gloves is fine. The Gods thing was dumb for him but now way out of context when really just a awkward kid slip.
Keefe and Boucher sucked. And even with all of that, the "Leafs" team did play a pretty damn good series of hockey.
Take it up another notch or two.
