I would hate to be the team that signs Reinhart this offseason, great season and good player, but locking him up to whatever he is looking for is going to be a disaster.

Best guess would be a long term deal with a cap hit of at least 9m, would he actually want more? Smells like another Jeff Skinner contract incoming.

The Skinner contract was bad because it was already known he was super inconsistent year to year, but with Reinhart I don't think the team is going to be getting a 50 goal / 90 point player year after year.

I will go a step further and say whoever signs him will NEVER get a 50 goal / 90 point player.

There is no reason TK couldn't return a 1st and prospect, they may not be high value ones, but I expect nothing less.

Now if the Flyers are bringing back a roster player with cap/term to make the deal work then those asset values better be good ones. I'm tired of seeing other GMs getting these deals done, but the Flyers always have excuses why they can't. A 1st and prospect/young roster player is very reasonable.

Not a big fan of either Helenius or Yakemchuk at #12, depending who were selected before....so that means the Flyers will probably take one of them or take someone lower in the draft who is a "riser".

Bill makes a good point because he’s a UFA. Maybe part of the reason he hasn’t been traded is that they can’t get more than a 2nd rounder and a middling prospect for him because he’s a ufa. Maybe the idea would be to sign him and then ship him. Key is, don’t give him a NMC.
