How has Faber looked? - KINGS67
He’s exceeded expectations. But there will be a learning curve playing 1st or 2nd pair.

The opener is always exciting. We know the Wild will have a winning season and make the playoffs. Excited to see some of youth injected into the lineup. Let's enjoy the ride. |

Dan - hope you have a good season writing. long time no chat. I hope the family is doing well. Same with MnGump and some of the other longer term HB people. |

Ok, maybe not… go from 41 save shut out to giving up 7 goals. |

That defense. Ugh. Goligoski and Middleton had a rough night. Merrill looks cooked. It’s going to be ugly with Goligoski or Merrill playing top 4. Faber easily the best defenseman in the first two games.

The one good thing I can think of with the group of dmen that Wild have on the roster right now is that replacements are that far away now. Goligoski will be gone after this year. Merrill might be sent packing somewhere else this season. Just depends on how guys like Hunt, Lambos and O'Rourke grow in Iowa this season. Just wondering if Mermis can be a better option that Merrill right now. I'm not sure if this is possible or not, but could the Wild bury Merrill in Iowa, and then keep Mermis up. And I am guessing this would not make it possible for Lettieri to come up if Boldy is hurt.
I was able to watch the 1st game, but didn't get to watch the 2nd game (bought a new house and am moving). Guess I was lucky. But if it depends on me watching the game or not for the Wild to win (yeah, I am superstitious), I have the tv all set up at the new place now. |

Totally agree. Faber is an updade over Dumba and has been excellent the first two games. Goligoski was Ok the first game, I thought really exposed in Toronto.
