So, it basically looks like the Wild will enter the season with about $700-$800k of cap space. Then running the course, praying for no injuries and hoping that Rossi becomes the player people were expecting. Going to be interesting how the season unfolds. And we all have to remember, Guerin choose to have it this way, to make the changes he deemed necessary.

Since I was looking for $3.4-$3.5 mil, I think this is a good deal. If by year 3 of it, Wallstedt has shown that he is a #1 goalie as well, that $3.7 for a good starting goalie is going to be a beautiful trade asset. I really think Guerin is working this plan to almost perfection....almost, since they still can't win a playoff series or go on a serious cup run. But it looks like it is coming together mostly like what Guerin was planning.

I also think it's funny that Guerin can now say"Addison, you want to play for the Wild, you need to sign for X amount, that's it". They can easily walk away from Addison and bring up someone like Daemon Hunt for a 7th D if Addison thinks he deserves more money.

Great deal. If Flip continues with numbers similar to last year. A Steal!
