50 games to go still. Oil have pulled themselves out of the hole they were in. I think they'll be in top 3 in the division by seasons end. Encouraging win tonight on the road on a back to back against one of the best in the NHL.

Who in the top 3 of the Pacific are they passing?
I can see them squeaking in to the wildcard spot but the goalie and D still haven’t been addressed.

The goaltending and defense will never be a strength. They could easily make a WC spot and go on a run just like Florida last year. All the skeptics had them dead a month ago and they're all likely wrong.

Oilers don’t have a Bob, they’ll go as far as the goalies will take them. Comparing them to Florida isn’t ideal.

Bobrovsky was average last season and really hasn't been more than solid at best in Florida. Certainly not worth his cap hit. He had the best postseason of his career and between him and Tkachuk- who has been very disappointing this year- they carried the team to the finals. Florida don't have a McDrai either.

And Canucks fans wonder why nobody likes them, nobody likes the team, nobody wants to play there, sign there, the fans don't follow the team, and they are at the bottom of the list of pro sports franchise with the most unsuccessful years.

Being cocky when you are the worst is actually even worse than sore losers and sore winner...it's that little "Toby" spoiled kid who's dad buys the team and makes him the captain...and they lose every game, but he still brags...THAT is the Vancouver Canucks.

I actually like Tochett and more than a few players on the team this year...but the fans will ruin it. Canucks fans always do. Worst fans in pro sports.

I agree with this, changes have to be made in EDM or they won't get far. They need to make some "risky" moves to improve the team work ethic and the goaltending. They're nothing like FLA.

Glad I’m a Flames fan then. I’ve got some good buddies that are Canuck fans, they’ve suffered long enough, time to gloat. Tocchet has them playing to their strengths, Jack Adams winner imo.

I can't argue with any of that. At least Flames fans know their hockey. I agree 100% on Tocchet.
