too bad the oilers have very little to offer in a trade for the below package.

Hart 3.9
TK 2.75 (50% retained)
Sean Walker 1.3 (50% retained)

How about chasing an upgrade on defense or depth in net.

So Pitt is rolling with Jarry and Hart? Seems a bit odd

As always, it's about out-scoring our weakness

Guentzel is American. Not sure he would extend in EDM. Regardless, Dubas is very unlikely to trade Guentzel unless he clearly isn't re-signing AND if PIT is well out of a playoff spot. If they stay within striking distance like they are now and have been for almost the entire season, they're not selling. I also agree with most other comments that Holland should be bolstering RD or G positions before he considers W.

Ironically, that is a poor trade for both teams. PIT has Letang and Karlsson at RD and EDM needs Bouchard a lot more than they need Guentzel.

It’s was in reference to the outscoring your shortcomings.

I really don't think any huge changes are needed. This team finished last season 15-1 and are currently 14-3. Teams don't go on streaks like that unless they are elite.

Sure, if a trade comes along that really helps then go for it or tinker here and there but don't sell the farm thinking we have to do something. Guentzel would be great but at the same time I like having players like Kane during the playoffs.

Best team in the league currently not in a playoff position, that’s elite enough for some.

Very much like the Canucks EDM is a few players away from making any real noise in the PO's. Need another top forward and a Dman for the PO's. Losing Bjugstad, Kostin and Yamamoto really hurt you at first but the Oil appear to be over it. See where it goes.

Holy Shesterkin!

Guentzel is NOT what this team needs!!! Will the Oilers (and fans) never learn???
Trading away Kane is ridiculous! One if the only guys on the squad who consistently plays with passion. Or one of the other only guys? Foegle!
I mean...who comes up with this nonsense?

The team needs good old fashioned "heart" and "grind"...not yet another forward who's pretty good offensively.

Bouchard, Broberg, Draisaitl, hell...even Nuge these days...they don't seem to want to work hard. THOSE are the guys to be shopped, not the workhorses.

Get a 2way forward, a warrior beast 1st pairing D, and a damned goalie. Not Guentzel?!?! Seriously, wtf?
