Good move by the Oilers. Low cost agitator who can chip in the odd goal. Will need that sandpaper come playoff time.

I think this is a good pickup for the oilers. Low cost / risk and good potential to add some depth for the playoffs. I still think Holland is a complete moron of a GM and terrible with asset management in general though. One of the worst GM's in the league by far.

haha, I was going to mention something like that. Whoever has the hottest mom should mix up the dates on her for the "mom's trip".

DAL-MTL-TBAY all went deep with Perry in the lineup.

Oil to break the streak?

I was wondering what veteran presence was out there that the Oilers could get, and Perry certainly is a decent fit. Now the Oilers should scumbag it, put Kane on LTIR until the playoffs to free up some room, then sign Toews.

J Toews will never play again due to health issues. He cannot become healthy enough and also get in hockey shape.

I would be very concerned about depth and quality on your blue line. That should have been top priority

Irregardless whether E Kane would go on long term injury list, a veteran dman and a veteran goaltender would be my objective if I were Holland

While Perry can help, is his salary going to preclude affordability of that veteran dman and veteran netminder?

Perhaps offer Chicago Broberg for I Phillips. I am torn whether a Phillips will be steady long tetm. He goes on offensive forays too often but shows hints of good decisions and plays well defensively at times. He is athletic, good shot good skater. I don’t know about Edmonton preference left or right side defense as for adding any dman….so there is that to come to a conclusion on who may be an addition

I am unaware Stallok (sic) situation but he is capable of stepping in and being very good. Not sure who he signed with and if injured again. Perhaps he could be brought in on the cheap but check his contract - is it beyond this season?
