Lol classic Penguins. Of course the guy possibly to be the center piece of one of our most important trades in recent memory would get hurt right before the deadline. |

Give him some BPC - 157, TB-500, deer antler velvet, and some collagen and he will be back out there in 2 weeks |

Jake’s injury could be the spark this team needs. Never know. Still not so sure why everyone puts him on such a pedestal. He’s a good nhl first line winger. |

Totally a Penguins thing. Lots of time for contract talks now, though. I'm in the keep him camp.
Also, remember when people always just posted "first" on the first comment of a new blog? Wild times |

I definitely agree there! HGH would definitely help him heal up as well! Then again if he was on that cocktail maybe we would want to keep him hahah his shot would definitely be a bit harder and faster. |

If Rak does end up being a good replacement for Jake, and Jake, Smith and others are traded at the deadline. Our first line would be pretty cost effective if Rak continues to click with Rust and Crosby (which he has shown in the past). Especially going into free agency. Our 2nd line would need to be revamped. With Carter, Jake, and Smith's salaries gone we would have 14 million (not counting the cap going up) in space to redo the 2nd line and the 4th line. |

Resigning him isn’t the issue. Carters contract dropping off essentially goes to him. The issue is limited cap space in 2024 to due anything in free agency. Maybe Arvidsson comes cheaper due to his injury? I’m really not sure how this team can shed more salary unless a team takes Graves and POJ or Ludvig can take a top 4 role. |

Nothing wrong with adding a 25 year old forward who scores at an over point per game clip (last two seasons) in the A for free haha. Doesn't look like he could put anything together at the NHL level with Caps. Never know, could end up being an upgrade to bottom 6 for Pens... Or at the very least gives WBS a little boost. |

I wonder if we are 1 of the 12 teams looking to sign Maxim Tsyplakov from the KHL. Any of you with inside information to the Pens know if we have any interest? I feel like Dubas use to get players from the KHL who worked out well for him. If he signed with us and pulled off what Andrei Kuzmenko did last year for Vancouver that would be huge for us |

And a step below maybe would be Duchene, Lindholm, Bertuzzi, Teravainen, Eberle, Tarasenko, Debrusk... Lots of really good middle six players potentially.
I would much rather trade Jake and sign Duchene or Lindholm and move Malkin to the wing. |

Could Phillips be the Dupuis we were talking about on the other blog? He has dominated at the AHL level, hasnt done a thing in the NHL but I'll take a shot at him over some of the other guys we know aren't going to get it done. |

I agree with this! I think those secondary guys could work well on our team as well. |
