Blues holding down a playoff position as of now. Is he even available or just the flavour of the week? Oilers need to add some D security first, can’t expect to outscore your liabilities all the time.

Doug Armstrong is a seller unless he thinks the team is an actual Cup contender. Being in the hunt for playoffs is irrelevant. Paul Statsny and Kevin Shattenkirk trades as examples.

I highly doubt Blues would have any interest in Evander Kane. But if Blues are going to move Buchnevich, I expect them to retain 50% to maximize value, so Edmonton should have no problem matching salary. However, they are all but guaranteed to be able to get a first round pick and a prospect at next years trade deadline when a team is just getting Buchnevich for one playoff run. If the Blues are going to trade him now, the value coming back will have to be higher; otherwise they might as well hold him until next year.

I would expect the cost to acquire Buchenvich is extremely high. Appears like the market is favorable to sellers this year. Zero urgency for Armstrong to trade him without receiving an overpayment especially at 50% retained.

Get a #1 goalie (I like him but Skin is a 1B at best)

Upgrade the right side D (preferably 1st pair)

Hire a f65ng motivational coach for Draisaitl!

End the Brown experiment

Get TWO sandpaper-type players for the bottom9

Refill my whiskey.

That's the thing with games in hand. You have to win them.

You guys need a goalie.

Not wrong, but he shouldn't have to be "perfect" in his own zone 100% of the time. I'd let him have the confidence to think transition all if the time, but his teammates have to adapt. Most of the fwds on EDM fly the zone early, and the only defensively responsible centre with skill...is on the wing (RNH). Nuge actually isn't an amazing winger. I'd rather see Nuge as 2c, let mcdavid do his thing, and have the king's ransom we "would have" received for our other defensively challenged centre.
I think this was the formula...but now it's gone.
Vasilevsky, Point, maaaaybe Sergachev for Draisatl and Skinner? I know it's not likely, just an example

...and Leon is not re-signing in EDM. No chance.

It looks like the Oilers have tuned out Noblock and need a coaching change.

Is McJesus' childhood nanny available to take over Edmonton's head coaching reins?

The problem is magnified in the playoffs as it has been shown in the past oiler playoffs.
