Nice to see Woll do that well with plenty of shots. 36 of 37 saved at that too. Very good sign there I would say.

Going to be an interesting deadline and hopefully Tre isnt selling the entire farm for rentals.

He's a 21yr old menace that was just called up a few games ago. 6'7", 241lbs. He's hitting and fighting anyone.

He hit Bastian on Jersey and the replay of it shows Bastian sitting on the ice almost looking like he was crying. (I mean that was kinda sad, the Rempe kid totally trucked him)

Fight against Matt Martin during the Stadium game.

Fight against Deslaurier on the Flyers was a banger! Wowzers!

I could handle him giving out a little to get a simple stay at home right handed D man to pair up with Rielly but otherwise nothing special. It’s looking like Gio will end up the 7th guy too.

And Philly ties up the game

Honestly stunned me that his hit on Bastian was deemed clean.

Quiet on a big game night. Hope we lose so I can read about how bad the Leafs are.

Ya me too....and I'm all for hard hitting hockey.

Maybe it was too close to call for a game misconduct or suspension for a rookie in his 4th game....and since he did keep his arm super tight to his body.

Clean hit/bad positioning for the Bastian guy I guess. Who (frank)ing knows with this league any more.

Colorado has a .647 winning percentage, and we have a .643; overall we average 3.61 GF / game (tied with Vancouver at #1) and Colorado is right behind at 3.6. We average 3.07 goals against, and Colorado averages 3.12.

It's close. Both teams have dynamic offense and a bit of a weaker back-end. This is a bit of a "duh, thanks Captain Obvious," statement, but they are so closely matched that if the game is even, I think the difference will be special teams. Toronto has the 2nd best PP, Colorado the 9th - but Colorado has the 11th PK and Toronto the 23rd. It feels like they would eat our PK up more than we would theirs - even over this 6 game winning streak, the PK has been a weak spot - at 24th in the league over that span.

I guess we'll see - the last time we played them in January we were up 3-0 early and then the refs decided that Colorado could do no wrong and of the 5 penalties they called, 4 went against Toronto despite there being some overtly glaring infractions that were ignored. There have been a few, but that was one of the games this year that stood out to me as particularly gamishly managed, to the point of bullcrap.

I hear different things, "It's not his fault he's taller", "Well, Bastian put himself in a bad situation, he can't do that." -- and yet Chara, I believe managed to not rail people in the head when he checked them - and when that rule came in, he was asked what he thought about it, and he said he could avoid hitting someone directly in the head despite his height. But it seem the DOPS knows better.

The thing with the "He put himself in a bad situation," . . . then why was Kadri suspended for hitting Wingels? I know there's a difference of sorts, but the difference in both cases, if you're being honest, is that the severity of the hit could have been entirely mitigated and still effective at sending a message / separating player from puck.
