Trade. They're not contenders and will have no reason to extend him as he is aging out for their team.

Seems like a no brainer - trade.

Trade

With the emergence of Kartye, Wright etc the time to start integrating the ready young talent has come.

Eberle, Schultz, Wennberg can all be sold off for picks/prospects to just keep building the team up.

Shootout win over Boston!!

Gru came up big and Yamamoto the only shooter to score in the shootout.

Speaking of Ebs notched a PPG for his 14th of the season.

I agree. I think keeping Larsson would be better.

Schultz, Eberle, Bellemare, Tatar are all the guys id be trading for middling picks. Maybe one seconds.

Oh you mentioned Wennberg. He can go too unless you think he can be signed cheaply enough. Need some bodies in the line up. Can't all be kids but for the most part trade off bit pieces.

I know some people want Oleksiak but I feel Seattle thinks this year is a re-tool and will want to push for playoff success again next season like they did last year.

Watched most of it to see Wennberg. Was that game pretty representative? He looked lost on the 2nd Boston goal but made a really nice play on the 3rd Seattle goal. Looked very good in OT. I didn't realize he was on Seattle's PP1 and was also surprised to see him first out in OT. Is that due to FO skills? He seems like the sort of under the radar player who would flourish with Colorado in the same way Burakovsky and Lehkonen did. Given the number of former CBJ dudes who've cycled through here and the deals MacSakic have done with Ronny Francis I'm not going to be real shocked if he shows up.

Honestly he plays pretty consistent, though start of the year for whatever reason he couldnt have won a faceoff to save his life. He picked it up though as the season went on. He is a steady guy, does ok on Seattle's second line, though think he honestly is more of a third line center really. Likely do well on Colorado I think.-

Trade everything that isn’t nailed down. If you could get out from under Gru’s contract now might be the time.

For me its the expiring older guys. Eberle, Schultz, Dumo, Wennberg. If you get a taker sure Gru, though doubt that happens. Only one outside the obvious would be schwartz and or Burakovsky.

Gru makes a 33 save shutout with Wennberg notching a goal and assist. Nice to get the win over Sid and the Pens there tonight.

Long term contracts arent usually moved at the deadline. It's likely an off season deal.

There are some teams that are desperate for goaltending heading into the playoffs. I’m not saying the return would be great, or even good, but if, for example, the Toronto Maple Leafs think they’re going to win a Stanley Cup with .881 or .907 save% they are delusional and if the past decade of playoff failures hasn’t driven that home for them yet, there’s really no hope for the fans.

Tough loss vs Oilers. Least was a close one but really need to figure out how to win vs them more. A lot of points wasted. Course that was also start of the year too.

Apparently RF talking extension with Eberle and Wennberg. Not sure how I feel about that. Honestly thinking need to move em for picks and open up the spots for younger guys to take over but...
