Go Leafs Go WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Veteran righties such as former Leaf Ilya Lyubushkin, Arizona’s Matt Dumba, or Buffalo’s Erik Johnson would cost a significantly lower price and could be the direction that the Leafs go. - mikeinbuffalo

Fire Shanny.
Keep Keefe and Treliving.
Trade Nylander, Brodie, and Liljegren.
Give Rielly the C
Tell JT he’s won’t be re-signed. Sorry, bud but you never really lived up to your first contract, and you weren’t a very inspiring captain. Also pay your taxes. I don’t think any fans would care.
The Willy (and friends) trade would be a massive statement trade. I’m not sure who they could get, but it would have to be a very good return. With Drysdale going down, I could see Philly calling around for Dman. LA/PHI/WSH are all looking for more scoring. Maybe the Leafs could try to pry Danault and Roy out of LA? With Bert, Domi, Knies, McMann, Robertson all picking it up on the scoresheet, they Leafs could easily sacrifice some scoring.

He is so butt hurt from being so wrong on Nylander's value over the last few years that now he just tries to suck people with his trolling. But he is never wrong and all the experts agree with him all the time, and when one doesn't they are no longer a legit expert.

Bro,
Stop trying to start fights lol.
Willys been fine lately. New and improved Thug Willy is awesome. His defence is bad, but it’s fine as long as he has THE PASSION.
Stop trying to start fights says the guy that trolls multiple times daily with his pro Marner and negative Willy posts. Then claims he is just talking hockey. LOL what a pencil armed geek

Not only is that a terrible take but Willy Stylz has a NMC for this season….and the next 8.
TJ Brodie’s wife has been battling MS and the rumour is that BT will not trade him out of respect for that.

Rather than fight, I recently tried out All Three Zones, because I wanted to see what their data structure and analytical breakdown looks like. So credit here goes to them, but this is a side-by-side comparison of Nylander and Marner:
They are both fantastic offensively, with not surprisingly Marner having an edge in the passing metrics and Willy having an edge in the Shooting. You can see that Willy is really doing well at Zone Entries, and this year in particular, Marner is struggling - especially so for him.
Defensively they both have their issues. Marner is definitely more engaged (touches), but Willy's skating is probably giving him better numbers in retrievals and exits. The failed exit% discrepancy is probably more to do with Marner attempting long bomb passes more than Nylander.
As for the Forechecking, neither stands out, but it should be noted that surprisingly Willy is above average at applying forechecking pressure and recovering dump-ins. I will say that I'm not surprised that Marner is well below average at dump-ins - that has never been a part of his game.

I would not say his Defence is bad with 3 short handed goals or it's not bad defence..
He is an offence player. You think he was Salming (RIP) playing out there
