Rico is so criminally underrated.. Carrick is a warrior ..

Oil just got better in a couple of ways. Guaranteed Rico is going to score a really important goal for you guys come playoff time... It's just what he does..

And Sammy is a glue guy..

Now kick the crap out of the kings and knights again.

I'm taking this trade as a huge win. Last thing I wanted the Oil to acquire was a floating offensive top six winger. Grit and depth, exactly what is required. And, if the team can continue to play the way they did against Boston last night....

If he had just managed to get Gudas tossed into the deal, I would have been forced to create a small shrine of worship to Kenny in the corner of my office here.

Tarasenko called the deal. Full NMC and has family in Florida. He's not gonna waive it for anyone else

Of course, but he only wanted to move family to FLA so the return was peanuts.

Knowing us, 17th forward behind Brown, Not -That- Connor, #28 and "Really good on the PK, guys!"

All kidding aside, wonder if they try him top 6 or slot him on 3rd line and rearrange top 6

Likely spot is the third line centre role, probably next to McLeod and Perry. If the Oil want to stack the top line of McDavid and Draisaitl he could be a second line centre with RNH on one wing and Kane on the other.

How can you not love this trade, way better trade than what both the Jets and Nucks did, Henrique > Lindholm or Monahan, we paid less and got an extra NHL roster player. I wish anyone on this site knew anything about hockey.

Both players traded for eat up big minutes on the penalty kill. Driving the net, mucking in the corners. Players you want during the playoffs.

Not sure if Henrique and Carrick are interested in filling Kenny's holes, but anything is possible.

Very fitting that the Oilers went out to get a far left liberal. He'll fit in well with all the other freaks you have playing for your team. There are few bigger scumbags than Henrique.
