That saucer pass by Frost for a breakaway was a beaut.

They got it done. It wasn’t a must win but it was darn close if they want to continue playing in late April. Don’t love the D right now, so let’s hope they get some good news on injuries here soon.

They got the job done, but I expect them to struggle mightily in this stretch even if Ersson plays well. If they could somehow get 2 wins and maybe an OT loss in the next 7 it would be epic as the D corps is in shambles, their PK has gone south and their PP still is what it is. Not a good combo and I fully expect they'll be outside the playoff picture once this stretch is over. They'll have to climb back in with hopes that all the other teams falter.

A win is a win but man that was ugly. They better play better than that over the next 7 games otherwise it’s gonna be a baaaad stretch.

Bill, any word of the 3 missing defensemen? Can we expect any returns during this tough stretch?

Seeler was supposed to miss two games, so he is out for the reason. It is poetic justice with Tortorella's irrational love of the blocked shot..... We are lucky we have not lost York or Sanheim

How does Frost only get 11:43 of TOI? Can you do better than 1st star of the game?

Why does it have to be some damn difficult with these teams? I said the other day a game they play against the panthers looks the same as the game they play against a team like the sharks.

Only explanation is that he doesn't kill penalties.

It's bewildering. If not for him and some key saves from Ersson, we lose that game. I'd be expanding his role as we are in desperate need of skill at all times. I am very worried we are going to get obliterated this next stretch.

Simply put, it's a lack of finish. We had enough chances and shots, but we lack that finishing skill. Two hard working teams and we can't separate because we have no skill.

5 on 5 available ice time was down due to how many penalties the Flyers took. Frost doesn't play on the PK.

The Sharks play loose because they have nothing to lose, the Flyers, aware of their upcoming schedule, have a lot to lose. This is a bad combination.

It really was. And I also liked how he kept his eyes on that floating puck and knocked it in to the net for his goal

Against a poor defensive team, the Flyers were only able to generate 3 high danger scoring chances at 5 on 5.

I think the Flyers have some skill but they are not getting the most out of that skill. For example, Tippet and Foerster should be better finishers than they are. Tippet has always been able to generate shots, and I liked the way he was moving on the weak side on the PP last night, but his achilles heel so far with the Flyers is he does not finish enough. If he did Tippet would be a consistent 40+ goal scorer. Foerster has the shot to also be a big goal scorer in this league, but he doesn't know yet how to get to the areas of the ice where he can use it more effectively, and of course he needs a player that can get him the puck in his spot. I'm glad Frost scored on his shot last night, he is another player that I think if he would only shoot more he could score for this team.

I think that’s correct. More than lack of skill though there’s just lack of a plan in set offensive situations

Seeler is out 4-6 weeks with a broken foot. The minute I saw where that heavy shot hit him it was pretty much a forgone conclusion. Not sure why the smokescreen all the time with injuries. Just come out and say it.

Well, the 7 game gauntlet has arrived. What's the saying...what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. If this stretch doesn't kill them they should secure a playoff spot. Have to at least squeak out 2 wins in this stretch and 3 would be even better (4 would be a near miracle). Looks like it's going to come down to the Isles, Flyers and Wings for those final 2 tickets to the dance. Is Seeler really this important to the PK. That PK last night looked like the PK ghosts from years gone by. Wide open passing lanes galore. Put Ginning back in! It can't hurt. Can it?

This is not a well founded opinion. MJL explained this above- Flyers had 12 penalty minutes last night. Frost does not kill penalties.
