Thanks for the recap, the game was on too late for me to watch. They can hang with the better teams in the league, one of which they are, but they've gotta put a full 60 in.

They don’t have a game-breaker like Mac, so they need everyone to be on their poop all the time. I feel like JTM is more like a Kesler kind of guy: can lead the team in some nights, but isn’t on that McDaivd/MacKinnon level. Hopefully Petey finds his swagger again and be another kind of impact player.

Thanks NYN. Way to get the blog out on the go! If only the Canucks could have been diligent to see the job through.

I was like okay Canucks have this game up 3-0. The 2nd period about to end and goal against. Just puck watching not taking the man between two Canuck players. Not good let’s start hard for the 3rd period they have a great record leading still 3-1. But no they falter. Its penalties and two men down. This is trouble. Then Avs tie it on the scramble. You could see the panic. Canucks were sunk at that point.

Learning lesson. Yes. Reality can’t let up or you lose against the good top teams.

Apparently the Nucks felt that they did not need any more Points at this time.
I just hope they don't take it to the extreme like the Wings are doing right now.

In my opinion there are only two teams in the league with what would be considered "game-breakers"....that's Colorado with MacKinnon and Edmonton with McDavid. The league has some great players but with OV and Crosby getting older now there isn't really a plethora of superstars anymore, outside of MacKinnon and McDavid.

The Canucks really don't need superstars, they just need good players and depth, like Vegas had last year when they won the Cup. As for Miller, I personally think he's currently a way better player than Kesler ever was, he has a hundred more points than Kesler in three hundred less games and he's playing effectively away from the puck now under Tocchet.

Several stick infractions, lots of chaos, yet no Myers to blame It on.

Speaking of chaos, Pouty is starting to remind me of Myers, except on forward, both good players, but what an adventure.

@patersonjeff

wild night for #Canucks  Zadorov: goal, assist, fight but also 15% CF and on the ice for 2 of 4 Avs goals. Juulsen on for all 4 (2 on PP & 2 at evens)

That goal late in the second killed us. Despite only seconds remaining, never take your foot off the gas! And Soucy, what the fuuk were you thinking?

How did our 11.6 million dollar Swede look last night vs the cup champ Canadian in McKinnon? Oh wait right ...ZERO points. Technically we should be fine in the PO's blowing 3 goals leads late. All good. At Least now if we get the Bettman-point in the remaining games we should make the PO's no problem lol.

This team can not hold a lead to save it's life. Shouldn't be an issue though as we have many Americans and Swedes for the PO's...

What's with this team and just thinking that DeSmith is going to save them in the 3rd periods? Happened against Minny as well.

DeSmith wasn’t the problem at all. The late 2nd period goal was. It allowed everything to mushroom.

Regular season means jack sh!t in the PO's dude. Sure they have closed some games out but blowing 2 goal and 3 goal leads in the Po's all the time won't tranlate well to end results. Doesn't change the fact the club has blown many leads. But I'm sure you will let us know how it all works out lol

He’s like Benning in that he just throws shit against the wall to see what sticks.

He should just go post in the Oilers thread as he’s not a real Canucks fan, like Makita….

They were 29-0-0 and are now 5-1-4 in their past 10 when having a lead. during the same time they had some impressive wins vs Vegas and Winnipeg and come back wins vs Boston and LA.

Canucks have been a streaky team all year. The games mean more now and Canucks have not been good in the 3 on 3 and SO this year. Which doesn't happen in the playoffs.

Big win OIL last night. 3 points McD and hatty for Hyman.

But hey if we get the loser point every game now until the end of the season we should still finish ahead lol

Why are you on this board? The board for oiler fans has the oiler symbol on it(i know it's confusing), go be with your people. Celebrate your big win over washington, dont be afraid to come back when Skinner and the D poop the bed in the playoffs though.

You're an oilers fan, and so very aware of that. Playoff Nurse and Skinner are a sight to see!

This. That was a momentum killer, it was all Colorado after that and the ice tilted.
