Silver lining time. That was a helluva an effort by Couturier winning that board battle after losing his stick and getting another to set up Foerster for the shorty.

I come hat in hand to say good game in the previous thread and you decide to be a female dog (just like your coach tonight). Funny thing is, everyone in this blog was saying "leafs were done" last year and wouldn't make the playoffs this year. Good luck making it the show! I'll enjoy at least 4 meaningful games.

A lesser and more defensively inept team would have had a ten spot put up on them. Kudos to the flyers for buckling down and defending like only they can.

You most certainly did not come on here cap in hand. You came on to rub it in and you know it. I made a hockey comment back and you decided to be an ass.

Weren't you a moderator? Embarrassing and good thing you’re not doing that anymore. Calling me a female dog? Maybe Go ban yourself. Gfy you arrogant wiener.

I don’t think it was really a 6-2 game
Your goalie had a bad night and ours was solid.

Lots of things going wrong now but the Flyers are still in the drivers seat to make the playoffs.

I know you are trying to be positive, but that is a hell of silver lining for a guy who will be paid near $8MM per year until forever.....

Same as the game in Toronto….the Leafs have that elite skill the Flyers simply don’t have. The play is close then the Leafs can just turn it up a notch. They bury their chances.
Ersson has been very good this year. Tough night but might be getting worn down a bit. Sandstrom? Ya he’s an AHL goalie.

Flyers have to hope he can buck the odds and use this year as a spring board into next year. Very smart player. But physically missing almost two years has to be tough. I think he’s hit a bit of a wall.

Again, you prove that you lack common sense and self awareness. You don't go onto another team's blog after spanking that team 6-2 and say "good game". That's idiotic! If it was a hard fought one goal game then go for it. Let me guess, you never managed in the real world did you? Oh, and I don't think many folks on here said that the Laffs were done and not going to make the playoffs this year. That's preposterous and more BS from you. What we Laff about in Flyerland is the fact that your sad sacks have won ONE playoff series in the 20 years since JR shut up your obnoxious fan base with that water bottle popping OT goal in game 6 in 2004.

Something is wrong with Coots. He seems defeated mentally.

When he took that penalty early in the game they had a shot of him in the box. I swear he looked like an abused child cowering in the corner.

Couldn't watch the game last night because of that wonderful station known as ESPN, so don't have much to say. Saw a lowlight of the Laffs 6th goal. By the end of the sequence 3 Flyers were without sticks and it looked like the Keystone cops. The fact that they are down 4 defenders (Seeler, Walker, Risto and Drysdale) may be the end of their playoff hopes. Even with those guys this defense was average at best, but now they are getting shredded. Please put Ginning in, and sit either Johnson or Stall. I'd be surprised if they win any of the next 6 and by then they will be out of a playoff spot. I know I've been harping about the playoffs, but if they are going to squeak into a playoff spot only to get embarrassed I'm not into it. I don't buy that Ersson is tired. He hasn't played that much. I think he may be feeling the pressure of the games, and the fact that he may be trying too hard and coming off his angles behind a porous defense.

Waiting for them to announce that he is being shutdown for the remainder of the season any time now. Something is obviously wrong. That contract ain't gonna age well, but then again I think most of us knew that.

I have been saying Coots has been playing behind the play since before New Years, so I'm really not surprised at this point. He looks cooked to me.

yes they are as all the other teams flawed and don't seem capable of going on a run at the moment.

as was noted they ran him into the ground early. many not surprised by what has transpired since. Too bad they are in the playoff race as maybe you can spot him some games.

flyers never play the long game.
