Ohtani''s interpreter fired for using Ohtani's funds(millions) to illegally bet with an illegal bookmaker

Yeah...Ohtani had no clue he was missing money, no clue at all

Totally expect the MLB to sweep that under the rug.

Had to speak to Rogers (ugh), have been spring cleaning the house, took a moment to look at leaf news and saw Brodie is scratched. Damn, wonder if it’s his end or a wake up call.

Sheldon Keefe on T.J. Brodie being a scratch tonight:

"Brods knows he hasn’t been at his best this season here, for most of the season, yet he’s taken on a lot for us …. hardest match-ups every single night & it’s been a lot. A chance for us to give him a night off"

I get he gets hard mins, I really do....but it does not excuse the fact that he has been absolutely horrible in those mins. The team needs a run here without him. There is a legitimate chance the team does better without him in the lineup.

Even if the players who take his mins do just as bad, at least they can move the puck and not kill every play they are apart of.

Actually it is excusable because it’s not Brodie’s fault he’s being asked to be more than he is. And somehow he still leads the leafs d men in +/- (I know I know)

But let’s face it, he’s a solid second pairing guy now, an older vet at the end of his contract, and he’s being asked to be the team’s defensive stud, basically Rielly’s equal talent but opposite style for 2/3rds the money.

I sincerely believe he’s simply being overused at his age and asked to do too much. The problem isn’t so much him but how he’s used. Unfortunate for coaching that management can’t afford anything better atm.

I wonder how TJ’s wife is doing, and if it’s impacting his play a bit this year.

This starts and stops with Keefe. Throws team under the bus for last game. Look in the mirror. Your lineup and strategy and player usage.

Brodie has been in decline no doubt but Keefe isnt doing him any favors either. Hell you know with his significant other having medical issues hes got a lot going on too and clearly its affecting him too. Keefe should have been looking at helping him not just running him out there to fail.

Be interesting tonight to see how it goes with Brodie out.

We need a bloody new coach.

Tried to tack on late payment interest on a payment I already made lol. 1hr 40mins for. a 3min chat… ugh… got the interest cutoff but an additional $20 as a “sorry”.

As for Brodie yeah I know tonight is a breather, but what will he look like when he’s back? If sitting occurs more often I’ll worry… a bit at least lol (getting rested for the post season)

He can not move the puck at all. He can defend the rush sometimes but that is it.

He doesn't have the intangibles or physicality to be a decent 3rd pair. He can't defend against bottom 6 lines because he gets destroyed along the boards and in front of the net.

He is awful on the PK.

He has offered nothing to this team other than an ok stretch of 6-7 games with Liljergren.

He is not a fit in this lineup unless he is playing GOOD against tough comp(skilled players). That ship has sailed so he is pretty much useless.

He is 7th D territory value with Gio.

It’s progressive, right? May be nothing, but I know how it would weigh on me over time.

Hopefully Timmins plays well and keeps Brodie away from this lineup.

He has been nowhere near fine.

No one is asking Timmins to take all those mins.

A good start is actually playing Benoit and using the effective Benoit-McCabe pairing.

he was fine on the left side with Mccabe. especially when Rielly was out. Maybe hes part of the problem defensively?
