Bump

he could very well be right.
but what if he is wrong and Hutson turns out to be a Fox or a Hughes?
tough decision. the return would have to be a solid top6 prospect. and not a 5'9'' one.
perso I wouldn't make that move. I'd keep Hutson and if he doesn't pan out... just too bad.

that post makes me think of what I just read on meteo media : april should be colder (than average) cause of hte last feew week BUT the contrary could happen too

No poop ! Way to commit yourself guys !

I think hes gonna be pretty good when we win the cup in 2028

Edit : how all is now Hutson ? 6.3 ?

So a fancy calculator with sin(θ) and cos(θ) etc... functions.

Got it.

well, to be fair, it's when people "commit" to making bold statements about prospects that we then say later on they were dumb to say that poop in the first place if they were wrong lol.

We had those in school, programmable. You could graph functions and stuff but I only used it to store formulas we had to memorise.

But all the math class you weren't allowed a calculator.

Sure, but its all in good fun

I'm just thinking he looks pretty good and mostly the kind of def we are lacking very much right now, Matheson should probably be on a 2nd pp

I fully know that he far from being a stud ( Hutson) in the NHL or even far from making it ( for more than a 100 games let say)

I know I know. it all comes down to the fact that the draft really is a crapshoot and you never really know what to expect, besides maybe for the top 3 overall picks... and even then loll

that's why Mathias Brunet and Le snake Boisvert often look dumb, because they go public with it and are often wrong. their track record probably isn't the greatest but I'm sure any professional scout has been very wrong at times, if not teams wouldn't ever make brutal mistakes at the draft.

Lane Hutson is putting mad points for the last 2 years in the NCAA I don't mind a little bold statement.

I don't get people when they try to hype guys like Beck or Mesar up that are just a little over a point per game at 19 in juniors

yeah, in Hutson's case I feel there's a bit of over-hype but at the same he is giving fans something to actually get excited about. it's all a matter of translating his game to the NHL.

Yeah and even if he doesn't become all that in the NHL there's other guys in the system at D.

At foward there is nothing, not zip with top 6 potential other than Roy.

well, I know they obviously aren't prospects anymore but they do already have Suzuki, Caufield, Slaf, Dach and Newhook as well, so yes they have to add talent to the top 6 but they aren't lightyears away from having something decent either. the draft should be an interesting moment for the habs, another Dach-type trade could be sweet.

I do not think Beck's game is solely about point, though.

Mesar is another story...

There is depth on D, if he does not pan out.

Fowler is the one that needs to be the real deal, IMO.
