Was Johnson the worst player on the ice or was it my bias eyes? Ginning should bail back to Europe for his own good.

What’s the PO odds now? I see varying reports but think 53.4% is most consistent.

Also, how on God’s green Earth was that not a penalty on the hit to Johnson? Finally, kudos to Torts for pulling Errson because ❤️Fedotov❤️

They need this rest after a tiring stretch. They'll get it and make the playoffs.

You’ll pay a bunch of money to go to a game you want them to lose. That’s not having too much time on your hand at all.

Haven’t checked but I thought it’d be worse than that. I checked one of the sites. It has Flyers as 42% odds with Red wings at 64 and Washington around 62%. It's really their spots to lose. The Caps have a pretty soft sched remaining with the Sabres twice, Ottawa and us. I can't see them dropping out. Unfortunately, I think the losses to Chi and Mtl have ended our chances.

If you don't have the balls to play in these types of games, rest isn't going to do you any good
- Torts

Quote of the year from Torts in the post game last night. And he is absolutely right. Said the only player that played in the second period was Fedotov, and this fact was embarrassing to the Flyers uniform.

Those loses were bad, but not getting two points last night I think pretty much ended the playoffs for the Flyers, barring of course a Caps collapse. Torts was also right to point out these type of games really show who can play and who can't, so it's still going to be beneficial down the stretch here for the Flyers to fight for the playoff spot.

Dont see Caps collapsing too many games in hand they will take 3rd. Flyers..Wings..Isles for that last WC spot. None of those teams playing well at all. Give Isles the edge they have the best goaltending of the 3 but they are not good. Hot goalie wins that final spot

The amount of time and energy spent hate watching this team by parts of the fan base is really impressive.

Agree has nothing to do with tired you ask a 20 something yr old to play 20 minutes of hockey every other night. It's about skill level and mental toughness. Flyers showing lacking both. Still time to right the ship but just missing playoffs and drafting 15th is worse case scenario for this team.

It truly is and it's almost weird. Also, taking time to post about it. If I hated the team that much, I'd stop watching and pick another team/just move on.

No, he's not right and your just being a puppet to everything he says. Effort wise, how did they play in the big games against the big 7? Did it look like they didn't have the balls? All season long this team has played it's balls off for this coach and now he's saying they don't have any? Bullpoop. They're out of gas. Konecny doesn't look close to the player he has been all season. He's ran them into the ground and they're on fumes and hanging on. The coach is an ass.

Wings beat the lightning on the road last night. TBH, they and the Caps deserve the final spots based on how they have played down the stretch.

I was really encouraged by what I saw from Fedotov last night. I know he's likely too old to be a part of the rebuild (like Hart was haha ) but I'd re sign him and see what he's got. Very quiet motion wise in net.. good positionally and can play the puck well which would help our battered Dmen.

Again, the Hart situation had nothing to do with age. Do you think they brought Fedotov over for the final 8 games and that's it?

Here's an idea. Why don't you just root for the Sabres you fraud!! You know, the team that has missed the playoffs 13 years in a row with their brilliant rebuild.

Not you but others specifically mentioned that he was too old and didn't fit the rebuild timeframe.

They better not have only had him come over for that, especially in view of what I saw last night. I'd be giving him several starts now that we're out of contention. I'd then be looking to sign him (with hopes that he doesn't ask for the moon in salary). He and ersson could form a good tandem. I'm not ready to throw Ersson under the bus. He's clearly gassed.

Tortorella’s postgame last night was a complete embarrassment and should be alarm bells for the other 2/3rds of the triumvirate. It is a look into the future as the coach has limited coaching tools and is now flailing around like an infant.

I agree with MJL. The team has played its balls off all year. They’re human, not machines. There will be dips in play over the course of an entire season. The astonishing thing to me is this team has actually played at this intensity over more of the season than I thought possible.

Despite that, the cult leader and its members are out for blood in full force today. Calling players soft, etc.

Disgraceful

I agree. I wouldn't have taken that approach and I think it's part of Torts act running thin. They were expected to be a bottom five team and gave it everything all year to even get into the discussion. The right call was made to trade Walker, but this clearly has hurt them a lot.

What it shows is that the team has a way to go before being a serious contender. The real contenders can kind of coast for stretches and still make the dance. They then have energy to dial it up for the playoffs and also have proper depth to manage injuries etc. Our team is gassed beyond belief because they've had to play a style that isn't sustainable over and entire season and playoffs. Block shots with your face for 82 games?? You're going to be hurt and tired. Having said that, some progress has been made with the young players so it's not all bad.

Not sure why you keep bringing up Hart....

He was suddenly gone, nothing the team could control or plan for, and the decision to trade/re-sign him or not was taken out of their hands completely (for better or worse).

Now they just have to work with who they've got.

And if Fedotov plays well they'd better pray like hell that he sticks around and doesn't run off in UFA or back to Russia.
