Dallas has drafted and developed more efficiently than any team in the league though. So effectively all 31 other teams struggle to draft/develop like them. Oilers are one of the fastest teams in the league and play at a much higher pace than Dallas.

This is quite true, but only in one direction! The Edmonton Oilers do not backcheck well and do not play tight enough in their own end. This is what has, and will continue to haunt them when it matters. But yes, they are impressive to watch going up the ice.

Oilers need to bring their A game tonight and show they are ready for the playoffs.

Win or lose, I want to see a playoff type of effort. Only a handful if games left, the time to ramp it up is now.

On top of that, home ice for a potential game 7 against Vegas is huge.

I'd be curious what the standard is for being considered an NHL player. For me, it would be 300+ NHL games with at least 100 coming with the same team. Being a journeyman call up is still a major waste of a 1st IMO.
