Kane with his 19th goal today in about a 1/2 season. Nice comeback for him after the hip surgery.

Just a shade under a point per game for P Kane
How much better and more productive could Kane show next season? I am unsure whether his age and the wear and tear leave less tread so to speak. What is also to be determined is whether he comes all the way back from the surgery.. Yet as for another development pertaining to Kane's numbers next season, just consider the development of two or more of his teamattes. A stronger increased production from teamattes could mean Kane cash in. M Raymond scored #26 last game while the rookie, Swedish dman Edvinsson, looks to contribute .

Yzerman surely is aware he needs another offensive contributor beside Larkin at center because the team dies have enough scoring on wing and maybe enough descent depth up front. Another prospect or an improvement over a couple of dmen - Maaata is slow and Petry is near the end of career - has to be on Yzerman's list of accountability, As well is his young goaltending good enough.

We know that Raymond, DeBrincat and Larkin could produce more points but the team dynamic would be enviable if they added one nice addition at center. Yzerman may be up against the cap so I don't see a free agent coming aboard. He probably has to draft some player. I do like Danielson among their prospect pool.

Perhaps the greatest question about Kane in Blackhawk fans' mind is whether after a couple years or so in Motown, does Kane return to the Blackhawks

I would guess that KD does not visit that scenario but if it happens I imagine Kane may have to accept a team friendly contract as KD will start paying his young too players more dollars

They wanted to give him more defensive support by putting him with the only defensive C we have.

Poor outing. I don’t think we had more than a few good chances in that one. Poor passing up and down the roster. Megna is awful. I’d rather see Murphy than him. 3 occasions he had a shot blocked and gave up the puck a plethora of times. KK had a poor game too. Bedard looked gassed.

On the positive, Kaiser looked good on both ends of the ice. Vlasic and Jones too. Not good enough though with the poor play of Megna, KK and Zaitsev, and the entire forward corps save Anderson.

Looking at the remaining schedule for both Chicago and Anaheim, neither team has any winnable games left. Hopefully, we can finish off with a solid 0-5 tank and maintain that 2nd to last position.

It’s ok to name the kids as having bad games. You don’t always have to pin it on the other guy. KK made several individual mistakes/weak plays. It’s fine. He’ll learn from it. Kaiser has been a pleasant surprise. I think all the young guys could do well to start making quicker decisions with the puck. It will come with time.

I kinda expect Anaheim to grab 2 pts either a clean win or a few OTs
And expect about 4-5 pts from the Blackhawks because they have been a bit better as of late.

That would give Anaheim 57 and Chicago about 55 or 56

It would be funny if both teams went on 4 game winning streaks
