I think the Art Ross is just out of grasp, despite McDavids insane PPG lately I think Kucherov is just too far ahead at this point. And honestly I don’t even mind, I did a little research and the last time an Art Ross trophy winner won the cup was Mario Lemieux in like 91 or 92, I forget which it was. If I had the choice between another Art Ross for McDavid or a Stanley Cup I think everyone, including McDavid would pick the cup.

My hope is that either:

1: The Oilers win their way into 1st spot.
2: The Canucks win their way into 1st spot.

As opposed to the Oilers going on a losing streak and the Canucks winning by default.

Regardless was actually something Van needed was a comeback win after getting trashed by DAL VGK and LA. Need to know they can play with these guys and they can. But the grind of the 7 game series's will be the real tests.

Not that it's a big deal but that could mean the end of the conversation for the Art Ross or Hart trophies.

Don't think he had a shot to catch Kuch for the Art Ross. And honestly, he will not get the consideration that he might deserve for the Hart either way. Hasn't been said much, but I would be inclined to hand Sid the Hart if he carries his Pens into the playoffs.

Yeah Silovs started weak but finished well. Hopefully not serious for McD. Couple days off will probably do him well.

6 points back with 6 games to play would have been tough Kucherov doesn't appear to be slowing down. Important thing now that the Oil have clinched is make sure Mcd is Playoff healthy.
