Soild 60 minutes. They seemed to lose their legs a bit after the first two periods and had heavy legs in the 3rd. I don’t know that they win if that goes to OT. One of those thank god this game ended kind of games. The last few minutes seems like hours its torture no one should have to endure

imo the rest hurt the canes early and ranger late. Canes came on like a closer in horse racing and the Rangers began like Secretariat and ran out of gas. Game 2 should be a dandy

So proud of these guys tho so far, they look the part of a champion at least. Just have to get it done 🤞

Jones may need to prepare to play in the coming games, Fox definitely looks banged up.

Rempe situation is a tough call. Feels like only a matter of time before it bites them in the ass. Game 3 is pushing it imo, I’ll give him one more game. Perhaps Chytil comes in and just plays sparingly and mix match where he goes. Him playing 7 minutes may have the same effect as Rempe (in a different way). Chytil can jump up lines where Rempe couldn’t do that. Play fil with Zib a shift, have him take a Wennberg shift, etc. Move him around. If they get up 2 - 0 I’d start that game

Zibs first goal is what the Zib defenders have said all season. Get him a RW to play with and things happen. Roslovic has been terrific and should be a staple for the time being up there. And I stand by re-signing him if he is reasonable. That line needs continuity in the worst way and looks like he can finally leave it be.

Right now Zib is hands down our Conn Smythe leader, Mika May. 10 pts in 5 games

It’s a double edged sword with Rempe. His style of play is infectious to the rest of the team. Knowing he’s out there with them gives them the confidence to play without fear as well as a distraction for the other team anytime he’s on the ice. On the flip side, he clearly has a target on his back and looks a little out of place out there. I’d leave him in as long as it’s working, but could see the first loss as a reason to get Chytil in there if he’s ready.

Switching him for Brodzinski is a big no for me, he’ll probably get the same 7 minutes Rempe is getting but won’t be as impactful to the game.

Gotta stick with Rempe: 8 shifts, just over 7 mins TOI = 4 Hits
The 4 hits were tied for second most on the Rangers in the game. Carolina D has to be aware every time he steps onto the ice. As long as we keep winning and Lavy has last change at home, there is absolutely NO REASON to take him out of the lineup. Never mess with a winning streak!

Agree with Rempe. His time on ice cant be more than 5min? I know he brings what he brings but that worked for Washington because they are a slow team. Canes fly up and down the ice. Maybe slot Chytil up on Mika’s right and slide Rosie to Goodrow’s right. Just a thought. Team looks poised to go on a long run. LGR!!!

I wouldn’t move Roslovic either, he’s really up’d his game in the playoffs. That line is clicking right now and he looked good yesterday.

Eerily similar to the rangers last year. Make a bunch of high profile trades, get up 2-0 on the road and lose. Too many cooks in the kitchen. Last two games their big guys did nothing. Hanafin was good tho.

But maybe Brukie is right

What do you call your hands? Left and right or do you have a special name for each??

Just wondering

At some point the 3rd line is going to have to chip in offensively. Through 5 games they have a combined 1 point (goal by Kakko in game 4 vs WSH).

I wouldnt change any of the top 3 lines, if Chytil returns, he can play C or LW or a combination of the 2 with Goodrow and Vesey.

Making those big splashes isn’t the way to go. Add depth pieces and don’t mess with the chemistry.

Agreed, why change a winning lineup??

If they do take him out it will be in Carolina where the crowd will have a slightly less impact.

There wont be any lineup changes till Rangers lose a game, if they do, or there is an injury..If we never see Chytil that means they went 16-0 and no forward got hurt.

Pretty sure they haven't allowed a point against, though. So really, how bad is it?

Fox should get better as he gets healthier. I thought Lindgren was the issue with that pair yesterday. Lineup will remain the same until they lose or an injury

Good morning. I was in the building yesterday for this game. Had a YOLO moment and took my daughter. That place was bedlam from start to finish. You can sense the nerves coming at at 3-2. Big sigh of relief after Bread's goal (3 GW goals in the playoffs) and then the nerves again at 4-3 then the delay of game penalty but Igor stood tall and a satisfying win. Cinco De Mika!!

The officials were horrid!! At 3-1, there were at least 2 penalties missed by them and we all knew that Carolina was going to get the benefit of the whistle from that point forward. The Trouba and Rempe penalties were terrible calls.

All four lines were fantastic. I thought Rempe played well and he wasn't exposed like I thought Carolina would expose him. However, it's one game but there is really no need to change anything as long as they're winning. I know the talk has been Rempe's rep, etc and I a have been a Rempe skeptic in these spots but the kid has been solid and you have to be in the building to get a sense of what he does as far as the energy he brings.

Coach Pete has hit the right buttons. No more 2nd guessing, I know I trust him. Big opportunity to grab a 2-0 lead tomorrow night. I have a feeling it's going to take an Igor heist but he is capable. Great start!

It’s fine until it isn’t. You need secondary scoring in the playoffs, 1 point through 5 games from 3 players isn’t going to cut it.
