I kinda agree with your last point there ... not only should shannahan be fired .. but the president position be retired at the same time. It's became VERY clear that shannahan sticking himself in the middle of deals just further complicated a more simplified process.

I like Tree's attitude. He can cook for me. I don't hate Keefe either but the time has come for a change ...and maybe Berube is the guy ..or quietly write a blank cheque for Rod the Bod.

Brian Burke had a great interview last year (it's on TSN if someone wants to search it out) ...he was pissed about the whole Shanny-Dubas thing and said the Leafs GM's were no different than any other GM jobs in the league. Media got all dramatic about one decision by Dubas being vetoed and of course some fans love the drama. Whether it's an owner or a president the GM always runs decisions through them. Burke had to go through Peddie back in his day and Dubas had to go through Shanny ..no different.

All that said - fire shanny, who cares. Point is it won't make a difference. Treeliving will just be running poop through Pelley instead.
