Laine Scores, Caufield Snubbed? +Segin Out and Rumors! |

Montréal Canadiens, Patrick Laine scored his first goal in his first game for the Montréal Canadiens last night. If this guy can get it going the Canadiens have a totally different outlook.. as much of an enigma as he has been when Laine is at his best he possesses rare sniper skills. It was a beautiful goal last night on the power-play and the reaction from the crowd in Montreal was just tres Montreal. Patrick was named the first star in the building went crazy with a standing ovation. The likes of witch hasn’t been seen in a while in that building. But this is what I always loved about Montreal.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, rumors are that Cale Caulfield is going to be left off the team USA roster, which is absolutely 100% ridiculous. Cole is having an incredible year and is unquestionably one of the best American scorers in the game hands-down.
We won’t find out about the official rosters until today, but of course they’ve been leaked all over the place so I guess we have to wait but if he is really truly not on that team then there’s something absolutely wrong.
Also remember this tournament is a bit off so injuries will likely mean other players are added.
In the rumor word…
A lot of discussion between the Rangers and Canucks regrading KakkoTrouba. And JT Miller… nothing is imminent, however, we are starting to see some of these what if type discussions and I would call this one of them.
Vancouver has had some discussions regarding ducks goalie Kevin Gibson…(e3)
Taylor Hall could be on the move as well..
In other news….
Dallas’s Senguin suffered a major injury and will be out 3 to 4 months. While these injuries are never good, this does give Dallas as a ton of cap space from injured reserved. Could make them a major favorite in some of the trade deadline rumors coming up for sure.
More to come…
