I said it before, but my good friend Bruce Scoop Coper, by far the most interesting person to have been with the flyers since 1967, has a saying…The first time I heard it was after a Flyers game that went really bad, really late, in a really awful way… We were heading towards the press elevator when he said to me, “These are the plays and games that end men’s careers.”

Today’s Rangers/Devils game felt like that for the blue shirts from New York…A 5-0 loss doesn’t do it justice. The talented Rengers, with Kreeider as a healthy scratch, managed only a dozen shots on 60 minutes… not a baker’s dozen, 1 dozen. For the mathematicians in the audience, that’s one shot every five minutes….

Sometimes there is just a feeling after a game…and were it not the night before the night before Christmas, this would be an even bigger deal. By Boxing Day they wont be better….

The Rangers are in the midst of a major play to get JT Miller back. My sources have called it “Drury’s obsession…”.and of course the public roft between Miller and Petterson has accelerated this along..

The Rangers actually buy a break here by having a trade freeze…they can talk to teams still during that time and not worry about anyone else grabbing Miller….
