Performance tonight when the puck drops on Game 2 in Tampa Bay.

The fast action in Game 1 proved that precision was key for the Cat’s victory, as crisp passes through near-impossible openings resulted in highlight goals. — just look at what led the Bennet, Rhino, and Tkachuk goals.

While the Panthers brought the heavy forecheck, that changed hands a bit through the first, with Tampa then applying it to Florida. Thankfully, the Cats weathered and bounced back.

Some cool takeaways from Game 1:

I’d like to see Florida come out with the same energy and game plan tonight. No sense in reinventing the wheel. The simplicity of a heavy forecheck, physicality, and relying on the guys you pay to make plays is what did the trick.

Tkachuk’s rest seemed to do wonders, as #19 was every where. Nate Schmidt looked great in his return.

Stay out of the box and get that W!
