for so long it was all i ever knew.

it got off track w/the auntie thing i should have specified

friends' house, and they paid for the food (delivery mex, good quality) and also provided high end belgian beers
we brought pie and wine

oh man gotta march that plate out as a bare minimum. My Nan was very particular about kitchen and dinner etiquette though so whenever my cousins and I stayed out there she ran that poop like a drill Sargent.

Plates brought out and rinsed. Dish detail was a rotation while others swept and cleaned the table or fed the dog.

Nobody had tea or anything until the kitchen was like it was before the meal or you'd be a target of her lethal wet dish towel and broom handle assaults lol.

it depends on the event. big parties the men were setting up tables, chairs, etc and then putting everything away at the end. everyone pitched in and cleaned up tables, threw out the garbage. Personally i hate empty plates on the tables after being done eating so cleaning up the table afterwards was pretty standard.
