I think gallager helps out his line mates a lot more then the current garbage playing on the top line.

To be fair, Galchenyuk is still producing... And most of Plekanec and Patch points were w/o goalies. They've sucked all year. The offence drying up is Mitchell, Weise and Fleischmann which is stupid to begin with.

There is way too much pressure on him. One of the few forwards that can somewhat score and then you add the additional pressure of being the captain of the habs.

Way too much is made of this. Pacioretty rarely has a good first half of the season and it's been way more noticeable because Desharnais is not on the line to receive the majority of the criticism. Add the fact that Price isn't saving their asses every 2 or 3 games. Also, Bergevin did nothing to help the offence and Galchenyuk has been carrying Lars "30 points" Eller for the entire year and this is what you get. If losing Brendan Gallagher hurts the offence this much, then the offence was eventually in trouble regardless of who the captain was.
