Indeed it was, and you're right, the gamble did pay off. The real question is, what happens now?
Keep JD on that wing, and see what KK can do with the extra space that having a player of Drouins calibre on the line can bring?
Weal played a solid game in his first outing...do we slot him in on the 4th line wing, or maybe on the 3rd line wing, and have him and Thompson/KK switch out the centre duties based on which side of the ice the draw is taken on?
Having so many centres is a real luxury that we should take advantage of.
I'll say this, though: If Weal continues his strong play, it's officially the death of Charles Hudon with the organization.

i wouldn't sit him because he can still contribute on a 4th line and the PK. i don't think he needs a kick in the butt. i think he's just a lousy offensive hockey player by NHL standards.
