Clearly with great +/- players the leafs d does not. Just a media narrative, like offer sheets.

Holy poop.

I just googled up "Toronto Maple Leafs schedule" and clicked on the first link.

This is what came up:

https://www.nhl.com/maple...fs/schedule/1967-04-01/ET

Pretty hilarious they've even converted it.

I swear to goodness, I'm not lying. Here's the google search:

https://www.google.ca/search?{google:acceptedSuggestion}oq=toronto+maple+leafs+schedule&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=toronto+maple+leafs+schedule

Click on "Schedule"

Curious on everyone's thoughts here. Why do most MTL armchair GMs on capfriendly trade Tatar away?

If by most you mean Mashadar and Obie, then the answer is:

I honestly couldn't say.

Tatar has been excellent for us so far. Well worth the pricetag. (Especially with Vegas keeping paying part of his salary).

Right after the trade, a lot of people were obsessed with the idea of converting Tatar into a 2nd round pick which is a bit useless IMO. You know that Bergevin will likely try to find a similar guy for a 2nd round pick in 1-2 years, so what's the point.

2 more years under contract, cap hit of 4.8M after Vegas pays for 500K. The way he is performing this year, he would be worth a lot more than a 2nd round pick IMO. This makes the trade with Vegas a fantastic one for Bergevin. Keep him, he fits well with MTL, seems to love the team/town.
