Lol. I know him and you are correct. He was a typical montrealer. Corrupt as they come. My compadres in Montreal were busted for taking bribes from construction firms to get directly awarded contracts (no open bid process). For the life of me I have no idea how they pulled it off for so long because our bidding system here in BC/Lower Mainland is air tight. Everyone must have been in on the take.

Then you point out that tax payers cover the cost of medical services in Canada and taxes would have to be increased to cover the medical system’s higher operational cost, he says “no way am I paying one red cent more in taxes”.

It’s going to be both interesting and stressful tomorrow with the start of this vaccine passport thing. I think this will give consumers more confidence - knowing everyone in a restaurant or theatre is vaccinated, but it’s also going to slow things down a lot, checking everyone’s phones and ID etc.
