not surprising and not likely that they'd consider disbanding.

as has been mentioned before by many others, i think they should negotiate a merger with the NDP. if their goal is to have a voice in the governance of canada, that would be their best bet.

but i'm not sure that's their primary goal. that primary goal could be idealistic in just wanting to "raise awareness," about their causes. or it could be cravenly political in that the party apparatus generates a lot of money (through donations etc.) and jobs for a lot of people.

Knowing a few Green party members, I think even a merger would cause division in that group, as half the membership is on the left, the other half is in the centre, which is why I suggested disbanding.
You are probably right though, they do get a lot of donations to spread the environmental message.
