Change that 2nd to a first and I’m pretty much sold - Sabretooth9
Are you kidding? I'd be doing cartwheels with that trade as is. It won't happen.

I have faith that he won't spend assets to speed up a rebuild. He hasn't yet and I don't think he will.
Can he extract proper value from his pending trades? That's a huge question without an answer. An Eichel trade is practically unwinnable so he's already up against it - jcragcrumple
That's a great point : the eichel trade is unwinnable.
He's gonna be great somewhere else. We all see the talent. but what can you do?
Was ror going to win the selke and playoff mvp here?
Probably not. |

Great blog crags 👍
On paper this Sabres team looked really competitive,
Signed, the homer - Boss34

Don't know. Selling now at an all-time low sucks
Jack lit the fuse (although I don't blame him after all the losing). Adams is pretty far up poop's creek |

Who's excited about Tage Thompson? He's seemingly been coveted by everyone ever since his early days In St.Louis and he still hasn't proved that he can play at the NHL level. |

Eichel Definitely trying to position himself. All we can do is see where it goes and hope it turns out good. |

I really think there are irreconcilable differences between the jack and the Sabres.
This has been brewing for 3 years.
Captain is not eichel, but the letter.
Kings have 7 of the top 75 prospects or something like that? Let's work something out.
Eichels "low value" isnt really that much lower than before IMO.

I don't know how you can be disappointed by any of the kids during the last third of the season. He got his chance and he looked good enough to keep him around. He may have a low floor but the high ceiling is still there.

Not necessarily. While I firmly believe we almost certainly can't win the trade if there is a ton of interest I think we will do pretty well. |

If they pull the trigger, they need to come away with a top-flight center prospect (among other assets) |

I think a top 6 center is a given - it's just a matter of if it is someone that is possibly generational like Byfield. I think someone pointed out that Jack is due a bonus on 7/1 - I hope that doesn't come into play as it did for ROR.

That bonus of $7.5m is due on July 1, 2022 - the same day that his NMC kicks in. No bonus this offseason. But if they try to roll the dice one more year, that could get really ugly |

Think you will never get back a player like Eichel, it will always be the some of all the pieces you hope make you a better overall team. |

Some interesting teams on there, if these many jump in, could it be a Franchise Altering trade. - Buff36
I still think the yotes could offer a great package |

If it was just Byfield and Turcotte you make that trade.
Byfield
Cozens
Turcotte
Mitts down the middle. That has so much potential and can be best center group in league.
And that lets you use your 1st-3rd overall where ever it falls on bpa. If you think it’s powers you take him.
Keep all the young guys in juniors/college/minors a year. Draft top 3 next year.
That squad is WAY better then the current group we have now. And it’s not even close - Fattony1187
I loved Turcotte in the draft
But it’s still a bit of a gamble. Big question marks on all those players.
