Fleury Is no longer relevant as an NHL starting goaltender.

Vegas looking like a pretty classless organization with every move they make

I guess it takes an irrelevant NHL goalie to shut out Colorado twice last season - you know, the team that many considered to have the best offense (it was hard to tell if they were the best, since there was no play out of division, but they were certainly very potent regardless).

I will say that I think Fleury needs to have a decent defense in front of him and that he isn't going to win many games on his own anymore (like he did in his early days with the Pens).

I don't know how much truth there is to it but I heard that DeBoer and Fleury didn't get along. If that was the motivation for their GM trading Fleury that was incredibly stupid. Bad coaches are a dime a dozen. Good goalies are not. There are a bunch of teams that would love to have Fleury.

DeBoer is a terrible coach

I have no idea how he keeps getting recycled around the league

The motivation was to clear cap space so they could address other areas of need. Paying $12 million for goalies was asinine last season and I'm glad they chose not to repeat it. Just wish they had handled it better with Flower.

I bet Flower is stoked. He was poorly treated in Vegas in my opinion. He should've never been benched in the 2020 and 2021 playoffs. Dude was insane. Literally the only reason why VGK was able to beat COL. COL was the most offensively talented team in the playoffs this year and Flower showed them up. Pretty excited to see what he can do in Chicago and at the very least and how he can mentor Kevin Lankinen.

Areas of Need:

Overpaid 32 year old winger coming off a down season

Overpaying a 34 year old 2nd pairing Defenseman

Affordable 3rd pairing Dman

A backup goalie capable of playing a lot of games

Getting a 3rd to get rid of Reeves sounds like a solid move.

Just dropped in to say that overnight your franchise has turned into garbage. What a disgraceful slap in the face to every hockey player and fan on the planet.

Karma will hit this hockey club hard, the hockey gods know what's up.

Good riddance.

The media Is simply to nostalgic on the Fleury trade, He's 37, His best days are way behind him, And he was very pedestrian In the playoffs, Add all that to the fact that he was thrown a bone In winning the Vezina when everyone knows the trophy should have been given to Vasilevsky.

His best days were literally just this past season. He is the entire reason Vegas won the Colorado series and they were lucky to squeak past the Wild with Fleury playing great and their inability to score

2.04 playoff GAA and 918 save % in the playoffs. The Vegas offense let him down
