I think Canucks are done for getting another first round picks.

I can see them getting a third in a trade to accommodate another team for cap space, but I don't think they have any more big moves. Schenn is a maybe 2nd if a team gets desperate at TDL. I would extend him if the offer is not a second.

Apparently the 2nd round is loaded with RHD so getting a 3rd makes sense for this group.

I fully expect Schenn will get a 2nd in the last 1/2 of the round. His value & experience will be highly sought.

Sounds more like media creation of that rumour. On just about any good team, he's depth. Teams aren't paying 2nds unless they win the cup and it's upgrades to that.

Only 2 more years of 6.65m. Not horrible given next season won’t be all in. I rather wait for him to up his value & the cap will go up further enhancing a better return. Taking on Lucic alone is worth a 2nd. Helping a rival gets more.

Young offensive dmen usually struggle on the defending part of the game, AHL time should have been the way until ready.
