Just shows you players want to win. JTM and Kuz got possession with seconds to go and just found a way. It was a beauty of a goal.
We know points hurt the tank. But good to see the way they play at this point has more effort. With the current D they will keep losing and tank to around 5-8 odds at the lotto it seems. - Quinn's Quest
I feel like we could finish as good as 4th best odds with at worst 8th best. |

This is all just Brock’s agent trying to manufacture something that isn’t there. They know Brock sucks and they are also in cap hell - CanuckDon
Truth to this, VAN's not going to eat a large portion of his salary, there would be no point in moving him.

Going to be more difficult post-TDL if Canucks don't ship out some players... teams around them are going to sell and get worse – St Lou already on that path |

Elliotte said one team that was interested was offering a mid 3rd rounder for Schenn but they thought their offer was going to get beat.

The question is do we take him at say 5, or hope he is there at 13-16? - Retinalz
Not at 5, no but if they pick at around 8-9 i think you have to consider it. Otherwise pick him or Sandin-Pellika where the isles are. Top5 pick has too much value to be the elite skill player we also need imo.

Going to be interesting how Demko plays down the stretch, might be disappointing to some tank enthusiasts |

Kinda disappointing after getting what was it a 4th for Motte? Ottawa gets Gauthier. Bottom 6 guy but lots of potential to be an effective one. |

Gauthier sucks. We got a far better return for Motte |

I'm hoping he finds his game with like 12 games or so left and goes on a burner to finish out.

Sounds like a Canucks move.... make sure we rise up a few spots for a worse pic after already being eliminated. Could def see it happening.

Unless Canucks are top 3, you take Reinbacher, if available. - Reubenkincade
Disagree.
You don't pass on a top C prospect to grad a Dman despite our current need for one. We have other picks to address this need. In 5 years we're going to need a centre as well. |

I'm hoping he finds his game right away and gets moved for a boatlaod at the deadline. |

You don't reach for anything, we need it all! I do want d picks but in the top 5 makes no sense IMO

I'm pretty confident the Canucks take a C with their own pick.

I'll reach to choose a C/D over a winger, especially if the wing talent is undersized. |

We need another elite forward, period. There's a few and some are center and some aren't. You always take special talent if you can, foolish not to imo.

Greetings. I bring tidings of great joy. We have a new VAN writer. Filling Carol's shoes was tough but I think you'll like this new writer.
Be on the look out for Michael's first piece soon.

Ya, which I disagree with. Elite talent is the real premium in the NHL, Canucks need more of it. They definitely need both a 2C and three dmen too, don't get me wrong. There's lots of room to grow on this team, I'm hoping they get a little of each and have at least another second rounder to do so. A dream scenario would be a couple dmen drafted in the first two rounds as well as some center/forwards with elite upside.
This convo about the top5 sums it up well for me, actually. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ1RJUthZjg
