So you'll take a ten game sample over the previous 100 or so.... ya, I think probably not the sharpest way to manage that scenario.

Could be seeing if he is NHL ready before trading Demko.

Watch him pull a Mike Fountain and ruin the tank.

I thought that he sucked because he was to short?

Well that as well. Benning is a tool for drafting a midget goalie with a top 100 pick

I'm lost here. Is it normal or is to going to derail his career?
- NewYorkNuck

I don't think anyone has done a study on it.

Quick general math if he has a save percentage over .850 and a goals against under 5 in tonights game, he has about a 75% chance of becoming a regular NHL goalie.

Most likely need to see a .900 plus save percentage and 2.5 GAA or less for him to look like an NHL starter.

If he gets shelled in this game, the odds don't go well in his favour.

Sophmore slump has been real for him. I still got faith that he hasn't hit his potential yet, eternal optimist maybe.

Speaking of goalies

Askarov and Kochetkov saved 23 out of 24 penalty shots this afternoon.

Brock Boeser for Jordan Greenway?

@DarrenDreger
: "If you can visualize a Brock Boeser trade to the #mnwild, it has to be for something like that...the other teams we believe should have interest in Boeser: I look at Calgary, someone suggested Boston."

This is the life of a Canucks fan.

Not saying it won't happen, but doesn't seem likely with Minnys cap.

Boeser to Minny isn't likely to happen. From Russo at the Athletic:

Remember, the Wild can’t add an expensive player — or really any players — with term because they have $9.3 million in cap space this summer with eight pending free agents to re-sign, including Filip Gustavsson, Calen Addison and Freddy Gaudreau.

If anything, they’ll have to shed more money at the deadline or around the draft in order to conduct their offseason business.

That’s why as much as the Wild would love to acquire somebody like Brock Boeser, his $6.65 million with two years left on his deal just doesn’t work, even if the Canucks retained half and took somebody Jordan Greenway ($3 million per year the next two seasons) back. That might sound like it’s a wash, but the reality is that the Wild need to trade Greenway to shed his salary for the next two seasons to be able to re-sign other players this summer. The math doesn’t work otherwise.

NHL Players will be paying 50% of the 'rights fee' amounts not paid by Bally to NHL. That's the beauty of the triple hard cap for Gary. Players share risks of ownership....like bad debts....but not the rewards, like franchise value increases. Who agreed to this CBA anyway??

I like to speculate as much as the next guy but man, some of these just don't make any sense.

Tyler Myers to Toronto... how, why, none of it would make any sense right now. Unless Van is retaining 2M to another team who is then retaining 2M and making a trade with the leafs or something. I doubt the Leafs going to pay that price for Myers

That one is not happening for sure. I expect Brock to still be here in the summer also.

I could see Dermott for a third. I mean we paid a third to get him so why not pay another third to get rid of him. That was for Load Management.
