I'd take that plan for the Canucks. First step was buyout Girardi. We know what they have to do then

Have we officially abandoned the Boston Model, before we adopt the NYR approach?

This Huberdeau issue is real so it sounds. I could see something like Boeser OEL for Hubbie and Looch.

What does Hubbies buyout look like...8 years 10.5mil per

Serious question. Why not?

If you want a high draft pick this is the perfect team, no?

Play all year with Myers and trade him at TDL. Bottom five finish again and an extra draft pick.

I am actually ok with this... ditch as much deadweight as possible this offseason and up to TDL.... Myers is then gone and OEL if you were thinking buyout would be a little more palatable after next year if you think you need the money for someone. And hopefully have some ELC's coming to help with the Cap.

I didn't say it was a good move, I was hinting this new group might be attracted to a trade like that. Much like the OEL trade to here.

Two teams trading mistakes.

Why are we ditching the deadweight though? This was a suggestion to keep the same crappy team right up to the TDL and draft high again.

Better than a buyout.

Well hopefully receiving picks back to help with re stocking our bare shelves for players that are not in the plans for when ready to compete. I wouldn't give up picks to ditch contracts. And no buyout period unless we are losing someone like EP cause we can't afford them or can't acquire them.

WE are whining about OEL's 7.25 anchor... imagine a 10.5 Mill Anchor in 4 years
